*Lucy's POV*

     I woke up and sighed, today was the day I wished never came. It's Valentine's Day, yea I know, it seems cliché to be so depressed about it. But I'm still a person. You can't blame me. -_-

     I got up, I decided to go shopping today, everyone will be busy with flirting and stuff, I doubt anyone will be grocery shopping. I put my hair in a side ponytail. (A/N: She's dressed like when Natsu and happy returned after a year)

     I was on my way to the market when I saw Sting buying roses and giving them to Yukino. Huh I never knew they were a thing, that's cute. I passed them and a minute later I saw Jellal and Ezra sharing a heart-shaped strawberry cake in a café. I smiled. Well, I honestly think they're perfect for each other. I kept walking, how many more couples am I gonna see?

     Then I saw Gajeel handing Levy chocolate and like 8 books. Levy squealed and hugged Gajeel. I always knew Levy had a thing for him. I smirked. I didn't want to disturb them so I kept walking. I was about to enter the market when I saw Gray with Juvia. I stopped and curiously watched them. Gray nervously handed Juvia a bouquet of flowers, he made it with his ice. Juvia gladly accepted it. I giggled, I guess Gray finally accepted his feelings.   I gotta admit it, but I'm glad they'll end up together! So cuute!

     Wow. How sad am I? Spying on people's relationships while I don't even have one. But I do secretly may or may not have a big crush on Natsu. For gods sake I love the idiot. But why would he even feel the same? He's too densed. I ended up focusing on my groceries instead.

*Natsu's POV*

     I sighed. Ok I can do this. C'mon Natsu, grow a pair. So yea today's Valentine's Day. I know people think I don't know about this stuff, but I'm a dragon slayer, this stuff comes to me by instinct. I just don't remember it when I'm around Luce. I get so nervous and freak out. I sighed deeply.

     I did get her a gift. But I'm too scared to give it to her. She probably already has someone else in mind.

     How sad am I? I'm the great Salamander who can defeat crazy-strong enemies. But when it comes to Luce.......even just entering her house is scary. -_-'

     Yea I wimp out, I'll just give it to the next person I see I guess. I heard someone walk out of the market, so I said without looking, "hey you want this? Maybe you can give it to your crush or somethi-Luce?!" I finally looked up and realized who I was talking to. I quickly hid the gift. "Uh heyya Luce."

*Lucy's POV*

     "Uh heyya Luce."

     What's up with him? I saw him hide something, oh well I'll let it go. I smiled, "what's up Natsu?"

     He rubbed his head, "nothing." I nodded in response. We started walking back to my house. The silence was awkward. Then he started talking, "so today's Valentine's Day..." I hummed in response, "mhmm."

     "So uhh did you umm have a-anyone in uh m-mind?" He scratched his cheek nervously. I thought about it, hmm well technically I like him? So does that count as someone in mind? Well I don't know, he might find out. "Uhm no not really."

     "Oh ok," he smiled. I sighed. I'm really gonna be alone forever huh.

    "That's not true Luce."

     Crap I said my thoughts out loud. I laughed it off nervously, "sure I am Natsu. Look right now. It's Valentine's Day and I don't even have a Valentine." I slumped back on my bed. Then suddenly Natsu stood up.

     Natsu thought, well here goes nothing.

     "Uhm Luce?" I looked at him. He continued, "well uh...ahem uhm"

     I looked at him, "what's up Natsu?"

     "Well I uh I know t-that uhh you don't have s-someone as your Valentine, so uhm you know," he pulled out a necklace, "well I know I'm not your i-ideal prince but I uh I can treat you like you're worth millions. I know that there's nothing attractive about me, but uh w-will you be my uh V-Valentine?" He rubbed the back of his head nervously.

     I was surprised. I can't believe it, Natsu feels the same way? Oh my god I couldn't feel happier. I got up and hugged Natsu, he seemed surprised at first then hugged me back. "Of course I'll be your Valentine." I giggled. He sighed from relief. "So" I said pulling away from him. He looked confused so I continued, "what was the gift huh?" I gestured to the necklace in his hand.

     He looked at the necklace, "oh uh yea," he handed it to me. There was a little diamond case jewel with a little fire lit inside. It looked so real! "Wow Natsu it looks real!" I smiled. He scratched his head, "well Luce, it is real." He chuckled. I looked at him, "w-what?!"

     He nodded, "well yea, put it on, when you're cold, it'll warm you up. When you feel lonely, look at the fire and it'll be like I'm there. And I know you always worry when I carelessly jump into crazy death fights. So if anything happens to me, that fire will only go out when I stop breathing for good. So then you'll know I'm always ok." He smiled at me.

     "H-how did you get this to do that?" I was shocked.

     "Well that's my fire Luce."

     Natsu gave me his fire...I was beyond happy. I giggled with tears in my eyes and jumped on him. We fell on the bed. I hugged him tightly, "I love it idiot!" He smiled and hugged me back.

     "Luce?"

     "Hmm"

     "I love you."

     I smiled, "I love you too Natsu."

     I couldn't ask for a better Valentine's Day.
