Guilds and wizards.

*Gray's POV*

     It's been almost 2 years.

It's been almost 2 years since I've last seen her.

     Since anyone's seen her.

     What happened?

     Where did it go wrong?

I ruffled my hair, a bottle of beer in my hand. It was still unopened, I wasn't sure if drinking it would solve my problems. Everything in the guild was blocked out of my mind, the only thing I could hear was my own silent breathe. Even to this day, I still question what mistakes I may have caused. I just can't get over it. Was I too mean, but I started to ease up on her. I loved her. Was she the one to get cold feet?

I gripped my hair tighter, only looking at the counter I was sitting at. Everytime I try to distract myself, my mind always lingers back to her. I might as well give in. My life has never been that good.

Everything I love always gets taken away from me.

The seat next to me slid back as I saw a pair of legs sit down. The beer in my hand was taken by someone, and replaced with a glass of water. I heard a sigh before she spoke, "beer won't fix anything Gray, at least water will keep you alive."

I nonchalantly laughed and shook my head, "does it matter anymore Lucy?" I looked up at her, like always, her golden hair was tied in a side ponytail and her keys clinked against each other on her waist. Anyone would know if she approached them.

She rested her chin on her palm, her elbow leaning on the counter. She looked straight ahead and shrugged, "you're not leaving this world yet, not on my watch anyway."

Ever since she's left, I've become such a mess. I hardly ever go on jobs anymore. I can barely pay my rent. I'm always trying to drink my problems away. I don't really communicate with the guild anymore. Heck I don't even fight with Flamebrain anymore. I'm an empty body walking around.

"Yea you're a real keeper Lucy. C'mon, it's been almost two years, everyone's given up on trying to help me. You're the only one I talk to, and that's not voluntarily." She slouched in her seat, one leg crossed over the other. Mira approached us and gave her a cup of water before leaving to serve someone else. Lucy smiled a bit and shrugged her shoulders, glancing at me, "well it's been almost 2 years, and I'm still here. You think I'm going to leave anytime soon?" I fiddled with the glass of water in my hands, nothing I do matters anymore.

"That reminds me." Lucy sat up and dug in a brown bag she was carrying. It had one strap, she carried it on her shoulder and is stretched across her chest to the other side of her waist. She pulled out a box wrapped in a cloth. She sat it on the counter and pulled off the pink cloth, inside was a blue box. She swiftly pulled out a small, slender box from the bag and place both of them in front of me. She looked at me sternly, "eat."

I sighed and looked at her in the eye, "you really have to stop. Everyday you come and do this." She sat back in her original position and smiled, "I'm not leaving until you eat it all. You know I always do this. Get used to it."

I was already used to it. Everyday Lucy comes to the guild, she makes me drink water and eat. Even when I'm not at the guild, she'll come to my house and at least make sure I have something in my stomach. She even makes me go on jobs with her, I think Natsu's just about had it. I want to be erased from this world, but she stops it from happening.
