Telling Them (Part 2 of Three Sections)

Guilds and wizards.

*Gray's POV*

     "W-WHAT?!"

I looked at her. Her eyes were shut closed. She hugged me, afraid I'd disappear if she let go. She waited quietly as if her life depended on my response. "L-Lucy?"

"I'm sorry for not telling you sooner Gray! But please give me away! Please! Please! Please!" She hugged me tighter and stuffed her face in my chest. "Lucy, Lucy calm down first. Just breathe. Now tell me from the beginning. I didn't even know you guys were together."

"Well we bekksh togesherv forsh-"

"Lucy I can't hear you," her voice was muffled from my chest, "can you look at me and say it." She shook her head but tilted it so I could hear her better. "Natsu and I got together after everything that happened with E.N.D. We've been dating for 2 years. We decided not to tell anyone because we didn't want to make a fuss out of it, and it gave us more space. He proposed to me a month ago, and I said yes. But I told him to wait so we can prepare."

"So does anyone else know?" She shook her head again, "besides Natsu and I, just you." Natsu and Lucy were getting married? It feels so sudden, but yet they were together for 2 years. "Lucy." She hummed in response. "You have to tell everyone else, you know that right?" She was quiet for a moment. "Well we can always get married somewhere else."

"Lucy you know you can't hide a marriage. They'll be happy, I know they will." She nodded and sighed, "I know. I know. I just don't think I can bring myself to tell them."

"Well you have Natsu, he's going to be there to help you." She nodded again, "I know. But still..."

I looked up at the sky. Time has passed by so fast. It felt like yesterday when Lucy first walked through the guild doors. Now I'm looking at her, trying to figure out her wedding. How time has passed. I squeezed her tighter knowing she grew so much.

"So you want me to walk you down the aisle, and give you to him huh?" She hesitated but slowly nodded, "I know it's a lot to ask, and it's weird. But besides Natsu, you're the closest guy to me. But I mean even if there was someone closer, I'd still ask you. Something about you just tells me that you're the perfect choice." I smiled knowing exactly what to do.

"I'll do it."

She let go of me and looked at me, "r-really?!" I laughed and nodded, "it's kinda embarrassing that it's flamebrain who I'm giving you to, but I know he'll take care of you. So I'm not worried."

"Thank you Gray! Thank you so so much!" I laughed and patted her head. "So hey, when you called me, why did Natsu grunt? He knew what it was about right?" She nodded and giggled, "well Natsu was surprised when I told him I wanted you to give me away. He was kinda embarrassed too, since it was you. You guys always fight, who knew you'd be giving me away to him." I nodded in agreement, "well then it's settled. I'll walk you." She smiled and motioned me to follow her. She marched into guild, before I could ask, she started talking. "Everyone! Natsu and I are getting married! You all can attend!"

     No one spoke. They all looked at Lucy, then at Natsu who was sitting at the bar eating. He stopped, wide-eyed, his food fell off his fork. He hesitantly looked around and smiled, "uh...heh...it's true. I did ask Luce to marry me.......she said yes."

"NATSUUUUUU!!!"

"OMG WHAT?!"

"MIRA ARE YOU OKAY?!"

"MARRIAGE?!"

"WHAT?!"

"AM I HEARING THINGS?!"

"NATSU AND LUCY?!"

The guild went crazier than usual. Everyone was freaking out and yelling. Natsu slowly got up and ran towards Lucy, "yea...uh...thanks for the heads up!" She smiled, "eheh sorry. I guess I got too excited." He sighed but chuckled, "well I guess now we explain."

After a while, everyone started to calm down and Lucy explained that they have been dating for a while. Her and Natsu apologized for the sudden news. Soon everyone accepted and congratulated them. Some cheered, others were still shocked. Mira stood up suddenly from the floor, "then let's get ready! We all should pitch in and help make the wedding beautiful! I'll get the arrangements and all the decor! Oh and I'll get someone to play! And the beverages and the main course! I'll get it all ready! DON'T DO ANYTHING!" She was fanning herself by the time she finished. Everyone sweat dropped. "Uh thanks Mira." Lucy smiled.

I was actually glad they were getting married. After everything FairyTail's been through, I'm glad this happened, now we'll all be happy together. I was leaning against the door wall. I smiled at the sight before me.

     "Lu-Chan, we'll get things ready. But who's gonna walk you down the aisle? We know you're dad....well yea. Who's gonna be doing it?" I stiffened forgetting that everyone would have to know. "Choose me Lucy!" A random guild member said.

     "No me!"

     "I'm manliest! Pick me!"

     "I'll walk you down the aisle!"

     Lucy shook her head and smiled, "I already chose someone. And he accepted."

     Everyone looked around wondering who 'he' was. Lucy turned smiling, she grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me beside her. "Gray is going to give me away."

     "EHH?!"

Well I didn't expect anything else. Even I was surprised.

"Gray?!"

     Natsu groaned again, "it's not that big of a deeaaalll." Lucy laughed again and hugged Natsu, "it is a big deal, I don't see you walking in a wedding dress everyday, right?" He rolled his eyes but hugged her back anyway.

     I don't mind her marrying Natsu. They were meant to be.

     "I noticed you and Gray were close. So I respect your decision. You focus on your dress and we'll take care of everything Lucy! Don't you worry!" Mira announced and everyone agreed.

     Lucy smiled and teared up, "thank you guys. This means a lot."

     So the start of prepping the wedding began.

     It took about a month. Mira was a devil who fixed everything to her expectations. It was really nice when everything was decorated. So how will the big day happen?
