*Nobody's POV*

     Natsu and Lucy are great friends, they're close, they share secrets, and they aren't afraid to be themselves around one another. Natsu is known as the strong and deadly Salamander, everyone sees him like that...well at least everyone. Only Fairytail knows that there's one person who proves that 'strong' and 'deadly' are the wrong descriptions for Natsu. That is Lucy Heartfillia. Yes Natsu can be scary when he fights enemies, but with Lucy, he's kind and gentle.

     In the minds of all the members of Fairytail, they all know Natsu is attached to Lucy. Natsu denies to go anywhere without Lucy. He always sneaks into her house so Lucy just let him move in. Natsu doesn't like it when someone interrupts his conversations with her. Lucy doesn't want to see the dragon slayer destroy any cities, so she allows him to be clingy. When someone takes Lucy from him, whether an enemy or friend, Natsu will blow things out of proportion and try to get back at them. It was like this everyday, until Natsu asked for a little advice...

"Hey guys?" Mira and Gray looked up at Natsu. "What's up flamebrain?" Natsu sat down with the two and sighed, "I need help, I wanna tell Lucy that I like her." Gray looked at Natsu confused, "wait so all this time of you being overprotective of Lucy and not wanting anyone around her, you actually weren't even dating her?!" Natsu nodded slowly, Mira giggled at the two, "Gray it's obvious Natsu would've been like that. He's a dragon slayer so of course he'll be overprotective. He just doesn't know what to do with these instincts." Natsu bashfully looked down. Gray started laughing, "I never thought Hot Head would be so fragile!"

Natsu and Gray were about to fight again when Mira started talking, "Natsu I think you should just ask her out on a date." Natsu shook his head furiously, "what if she says no?! Then everyone will find out about my feelings towards her after being denied!" Gray stopped him, "dude calm down! Everyone knows you love her. It's obvious."

"W-What?! How?!"

Mira smiled, "the way you act around her is different than others, we all kind of knew." Gray nodded, "yea I bet even Lucy knows." Mira agreed with Gray. "B-But how?! I'm not that obvious! You know what?! I'll tell her my feelings right now, and I'm sure she'll be surprised." The dragon slayer stormed off before either of the two could talk. "Natsu sure is a consistent one." Gray nodded.

~At Lucy's Apartment~

     "Hey Luce! Whatcha up to?"

     "Natsuu! Use the door at least every now and then!" Lucy groaned. Natsu rubbed his neck sheepishly, "eheh sorry. But hey Luce I need to tell you something." Lucy looked at Natsu waiting for him to go on. "Well, here's the thing. I don't really know how to do this, so I'm just going to tell you...ok so...Lucy Heartfillia, I love you." Lucy looked at Natsu, "ohh! Wow!!! I didn't know that!!" Lucy smiled a little too much. Natsu sighed sitting down on her bed, "you already knew didn't you?" He said more of a statement than question. Lucy nodded, "but! I didn't tell you because I was waiting for you to confess. It was more romantic than just flat out knowing, you know?"

    Natsu got up, "well sorry about this. You can just go back to whatever you were doing." He was walking away when Lucy grabbed his wrist, "you know you jump to conclusions really fast. That's why you always carelessly fight people!" Natsu sarcastically said, "yea thanks Luce, I never noticed."

     Lucy giggled, "but the point is. I love you too Natsu." Natsu looked at Lucy wide eyed, "wait you're serious?!" She nodded while laughing. Natsu embraced Lucy in a hug. "I love you! I love you! I love you! I love you!" Lucy giggled again, "I know silly."

    

     The rest of the day was spent with Natsu running around saying Lucy was his. But no one was really surprised due to the fact that he already acted like her boyfriend anyway.
