Gray's Favor

With guild and wizards.

*Gray's POV*

     "AHH!" I heard a scream, we were currently fighting off a group of grave robbers who were trying to steal from us. They were wizards too.

     I turned quickly and saw that the scream came from Lucy. She was being swung around by this guy, he threw her and she was flying towards me. I got ready and caught her, we fell over but overall we were ok.

     "Thanks Gray, I owe you one."

     "No problem Lucy. You don't owe me anything." She shook her head, "no, just if you need anything then let me know." Then we continued our fight.

~3 Weeks Later~

*Lucy's POV*

     I left the guild remembering to get some groceries on the way back. I hummed to myself and walked into the store, there weren't many people there, so it was nice. I was grabbing some oranges when someone shouted my name, "LUCY!" Out of surprise I dropped the oranges. That suspicious someone picked them up for me. "Gray?! What was that for?!" He laughed a bit, "yea uh sorry about that."

     "So what is it that you need?" He hesitated a bit, "you remember when I caught you on our last mission and you said you owe me?" I nodded. "Well yea, um now I need a favor." I nodded, "so what do you need Gray?"

     He chuckled nervously, "uh I kinda need you to pretend to be my girlfriend?"

     "Mm I se-.....WAIT WHAT?!" He jumped at my sudden outburst, "c'mon Lucy please."

     "Wait why do you need me to do this in the first place?" He rubbed his neck, "uhm well I kinda wanna make someone jealous?" I stood there for a bit to think about it, "hmm why would you do that? Just tell them how you fee-...wait a minute........you can't admit your feelings. You want me to help make them jealous....JUVIA?!"

     "Shh! Lucy quiet! C'mon please. She's always calling you her 'love rival' so it'll work out good." I stood there uncertain on what to do. Finally getting tired of his pleading, I agreed. "But!"

     "But?"

     "But I get to tell at least one person the truth. Ok? Everyone else can be deceived by our plan. Ok?"

     "...fine. Just make sure they don't tell us out." I nodded my head understanding. After a few minutes of talking, he left and I finished my shopping. I got home and ate dinner. Too much happened today, I need sleep.

~Next Day~

*Natsu's POV*

     I woke up ready for today! Happy and I walked to the guild, I was secretly hoping Lucy was there. And I was correct, I could smell her a mile away and she was at the guild. I'm ready to admit my feelings to her, I can't wait anymore. Happy and I walked into the guild. I smiled and waved at Mira, she looked at me with a sympathetic smile. What? "Natsu"

     "Yea Happy?" He looked up at me, "I don't think you wanna be here." Huh? I looked around the guild, and he was right.  I saw Lucy and Gray holding each other, when they let go of each other they were still holding hands.

     Wow...that hurts more than I thought it would.

     I started walking away when Lucy spotted me. "Natsu!" She ran up to me, we were outside by now. "Yea?" I tried to give her my signature grin, but it hurt too much. "Hey what's wrong?" I shook my head saying it's nothing. "Well where you headed to then?"

     What do I say? I can't tell her the truth. "I'm going on a date." Yup that's good. This way she won't know.

     "A-A date?" I hummed in response. "O-Oh...."

     "So whatcha need Luce?" She looked at me and half smiled, "well I wanted to tell you that Gray and I aren't together."

     "Mm-wait what?"

     "Yea he just wants Juvia's attention. So I'm helping him. And I told him I wanted to at least tell someone the truth, and I chose you."

     I screwed up. I screwed up. I screwed up. I screwed up. I screwed up. I screwed up.

     What do I do?! "Oh uh heh I-I'm not going on a date actually...." She looked at me, "what?" I nodded my head sheepishly. "So why did you say you were?" Dammit.

    "Uhm well like Gray, I uhh wanted to make someone jealous too." She looked away, "oh I see. Uh wow heh I better get going the-" "No!"

     "What?" Oh Natsu stop making this worst for yourself! "Noo as in uhm don't go? Uh I'm trying to make you uh jealous. I mean I don't think it's working. But uhm wow is this really happening?  Never mind, just forge-"

     "Natsu." I looked up at her. "Natsu I love you. I wouldn't just go with Gray like that. I alr-"

     "Wait say that again."

     "I wouldn't just go out wit-"

     "No before that." Wow I sound really desperate.

     "I love you Nats-" I didn't let her finish. I grabbed her and kissed her passionately. I couldn't let her slip out of my hands again. I leaned back, "I love you too Luce." She smiled and hugged me.

     "What do I do about Gray?"

     "I think that's already fixed."

     We saw Gray and Juvia talking and giggling at each other. "Yea your right." We left the guild and decided to take a walk.
