Merry Christmas

*Lucy's POV*

It's a beautiful day in Magnolia. It's not too cold, a gentle breeze. Every step I take, you can hear the snow crunch under me. The snowflakes fall, visible in my hair. Today is Christmas!

It's a bit surprising but Christmas is a big deal for FairyTail! Every year we all get together at the guild and celebrate. It's filled with drinking, eating, games, and just having fun! It usually ends up with us waking up not knowing what happened. But overall, it's another beautiful day at FairyTail!

I entered the guild and saw our normal ruckus. Gajeel and levy were hanging reefs up around guild. Juvia was helping Cana with the drinks. Makarov was helping Mirajane set up the food along with Lisanna. Surprisingly Jellal showed up, he was helping Erza set the tables. Gray and Natsu both showed up wearing Santa outfits. They both started fighting but came to the agreement that they both will hand out gifts. I feel good about this year.

"Lu-chan!" I turned and saw levy waving at me. I walked over to her and Gajeel, "hey! Merry Christmas Levy and Gajeel!" Levy smiled, and Gajeel nodded.  We talked for a while before I decided to go around and tell everyone Merry Christmas. I went around and wish them all a good year, all was left was Gray and Natsu. I wanted to avoid Gray, because Juvia wouldn't let me see the end of it. I wanted to avoid Natsu, well because I'm scared. I like Natsu. I was planning on telling him today, but I don't think that'll be happening.

     I was too much in thought, I didn't realize I was walking up to them. "Luce!" "What's up Lucy?" I smiled and waved at them. "Hey guys. Merry Christmas!" They both smiled and hugged me. Juvia was in the corner, "Gray-sama didn't even hug Juvia like that!" I looked away not wanting to fight today. Gray looked at me, "so Lucy, willing to help us?" Help them? With what? "With what Gray?" He pointed to the tall stack of gifts under and by the tree, "we need to hand all of those out, we kinda need an extra hand, since everyone else is busy, we can use you." I nodded in agreement, I want to be useful. They gave me a costume, it was similar to the Santa ones but it was a skirt and more skin fitted. But it was ok, it also came with a hat.

We ate the whole day. We played some games together. But as evening came, we decided to give out gifts. I grabbed the ones nearest and started handing them out. One was from Erza to Marijane. I thought that one was pretty heavy, but I didn't see her open it so I don't know what it was. We continued passing them out until I found one under the tree. It was a little box with a blue bow. I picked it up and read the label. "Hey Lucy something wrong?" Gray walked towards to me after giving a gift to Lisanna. I handed him the gift, "here. A gift from Juvia to you." I smiled knowing she put a lot of effort into it.

"Just throw it on the table. I'll deal with it later." He started to look under the tree for other gifts to hand out. "Gray c'mon. I'm sure Juvia put a lot of effort into that gift. Open it. For her sake." He sighed and stood back up, he took the gift from my hands and tore it open. It was a black wristband but it had magic energy running through it. "What does it do?" I asked. He shrugged, "I don't know. I'll ask her about it," he put it in his pocket then continued, "but for now, I better give Natsu a hand." I turned and saw Natsu holding a box. He looked nervous. "What's wrong with him?"

"Natsu wants to give a special someone a gift, but he doesn't have the guts to do it. So, as flamebrains um 'closest friend' I have to help." I smirked knowing in a way they're best friends. But it suddenly dawned on me. Natsu's giving a special someone a gift? It has to be a girl. Who else would it be? I looked towards Lisanna. She was laughing with Mirajane. It has to be her. She's close with him. Natsu's nervous to give her a gift, it makes sense, he must like her.
