I saw her standing there, lingering in the sun light. She looked as beautiful as an angel that ascended in the meadows.
Walking down the sidewalk, I found myself stopping in my tracks as my eyes couldn't help but stare at something, radiating with beauty. There was this hilly area filled with the vastness of flowers. They were mostly white tulips, my favorite kind.
Her beautiful dirty blond hair waved in the wind.
Katherine.
She had lovely slender limbs, and her eyes... they were as light as the top of the most mystical lake. When I looked into them, it was as if she could see right through me.
I curved my lips into a smile as I skipped my way through the meadows and twirled around, surrounded by nature's gifts.
Lying there before her eyes, my heart began to race.
"You found me..." I breathed. I felt the emptiness in my heart becoming filled again. For the longest time ever, for all of my life, I had waited for her to find me, to confirm that she was real- that she actually existed.
I was so overcome at the sight of her that my heart swelled, and it became difficult for me to breathe.
Katherine leaned closer to me, closing the space between us, as she enveloped me into her warm embrace. I felt the pulse in her veins, as our skin touched, and as our hearts beat as one. I felt her breath on my ear as she then whispered something to me.
"Thanks for remembering me..."
And that was how Katherine and I first met. And meeting by told by destiny...

The rays of the sunlight seeped through the window and refracted over our shared bed. A white dove flew to the edge of the window pane and tweeted his song, a slight breeze following with him.
I breathed in Katherine's scent and listened for her heart beat, a small smile resting on my thin lips, as my hand curled over her shirt, and my head rested over her chest. Her heart beat was soft, though strong, as she slept peacefully, her chest minimally rising and lowering.
She felt warm and welcoming. She felt like home. She was my other half- the other piece that would complete me.
And, I was determined to never lose her again nor let her struggle all alone.
She had me.
She always will.
Katherine hummed in her sleep before her eyes soon flickered opened.
My smile widened as I lifted my head and pressed my lips against Katherine's cheek.
"You're awake." I acknowledged while raking my hands through Katherine's hair, admiring the smoothness.
"So are you." Katherine retorted, her lips curving upward.
I continued to comb my fingers through her hair as we both longingly gazed into one another's eyes.
It had been a week since that day- since the day I saw her all over again. And, ever since that day, Katherine stayed by my side, refusing to be away from me for more than a couple of minutes.
It was kind of funny. She actually thought that if I was not looking at her for a couple of seconds that I would magically forget about her- about her existence.
It made me wonder though. As bizarre as this all was, how did I manage to maintain my memories?
What was different about this time?
