✿ Chapter Seven ✿

I wake up and see Mac running around.

"What's up?" I ask rubbing my stomach softly.

"Thornton called us in." He says sliding on his coat.

"I have a doctors appointment." I say and he looks at me.

"I know. I told her and she said you could interrogate today if your feeling okay." He says grabbing his keys.

He goes to walk out and I clear my throat. He grabs his phone from my hand and hugs me.

"Make sure to call if anything feels off." He says and I nod.

He walks out and I walk over to the fridge grabbing fruit and eggs. I quickly scramble eggs and cut up fruit before sitting down.

"You gonna work with me and let me eat?" I ask looking down at my stomach.

I finish most of my plate before I do a light workout. I stand up after a 30 minute work out and head to the shower. I quickly shower before getting ready. As I'm sliding on my shirt I hear something fall.

"What the fuck." I whisper before grabbing my gun.

I walk out slowly and start searching the house. I find nothing and I put my gun back into my drawer but make sure to stay on edge. I grab everything I need before heading to the doctor.

"Kingsley!" I hear and I look up.

"That's me." I say standing up and following the nurse.

"We just need your height and weight." She says and I nod.

I slide my shoes off and step on the scale. I stand there for a couple seconds before she scribbles on a paper.

"Okay time for your height." She says and I nod.

She writes my height down before my phone goes off. I read the message and see Thornton sent me a file on a prisoner.

"You okay?" The girl asks and I nod.

"Yeah sorry work." I say before following her to a room.

She asks some routine questions before leaving the room. I start swinging my feet before picking up my phone and starting to go over the file.

"He never kills children." I say standing up and walking around.

Walking around always helped me profile for some weird reason. With men his kills were alway torturous where women he always ended it quickly. Which clearly showed a hatred towards some man in his life. I would need to have a tech get me his family background.

"Adeline." I hear and I look up to see a doctor.

"Please refer to me as Kingsley." I say and she nods.

I sit down and lock my phone screen. I slide my phone in my bag before looking at her.

"Now we gotta do an ultra sound to see how far along you are." She says and I nod.

I lay down and pull my shirt up. She starts to do an ultrasound and I look at her.

"Is everything okay?" I ask and she nods.

She turns the screen towards me and I smile.

"You're almost nine weeks along." She says and I nod, "Do you want to hear the heartbeat?" She asks and I nod.

Soon the heartbeat fills the room and I start tearing up. I bite my lip to keep a sob in.

"Do you want pictures?" She asks and I nod.
