"I swear it has to be in here somewhere," I said to an annoyed Harry as he watched me rummage through my socks. I know I kept the fork in this drawer it had to be around here somewhere.
Harry's tall figure loomed over me and when my hands came across a bunch of my underwear my cheeks heated up. I was positive my face were as red as a tomato as I awkwardly turned around to look at him.
"Do you mind?" I said gesturing for him to look in another direction.
He looked lost for a moment like he was confused as to why I said that and then his gaze fell on my underwear in the drawer. His eyes widened for a moment before he quickly looked away and began tapping his foot.
"There's no need to over react. It's not like I haven't seen underwear before," He grumbled. "And what's taking you so long anyway, that drawer doesn't look that big. Why don't I help you?" He turned my way and bent down but I quickly pushed him away making him fall down on his butt.
"What the hell? You're acting like your undies are made of gold," He scolded while he rubbed his behind.
I resisted the urge to laugh at his comment. There was no way I was going to let him look through my underwear, that would be beyond embarrassing especially since they looked like granny panties. Nope, no guy needed to see that.
"Whose underwear have you seen? I've never seen you with a girl before," I wondered out loud whilst I stretched my hand all the way to the back. The silence from behind got me curious and I turned around to look at him.
Harry just sat on the floor staring at me blankly. "You....obviously don't need to know that."
Shit, did I over step my boundaries with him? Did we even have boundaries? Our "friendship" if you could even call it that was a pretty grey area I had no idea what I could and could not say to him. All I knew was he acted all grumpy but he was kind of a softy when he wanted to be.
"Just curious, since you said..." I trailed off not knowing what to say and then my hand wrapped around something solid.
"Found it," I exclaimed and then I pulled it out and unwrapped it for him to see.
Harry scooted over with excitement written all over his face. He took it from me and studied it carefully, his fingers never going over the tips.
"It looks bent apart," He mused.
"It is," I responded looking at Harry whose green eyes were studying the fork like it was the most fascinating thing in the world. I imagined the gears and wheels turning in his head, trying to solve the growing puzzle that was my situation.
I leaned back, placing my palms on the floor to support myself. I had to admit having someone else do the thinking and figuring out part was extremely refreshing.
"Do you have any bite marks I can compare this to?" He whispered the words bite mark making me want to laugh. Why was he so paranoid about saying these words out loud.
"I think I have one here but it's fading really fast." I pulled up my sleeve for him to see. The two dots had faded immensely over the past few days. The scabs had fallen off and it seemed like every minute I looked at them they had gotten lighter. Judging by the rate it was healing, I wouldn't be surprised if it completely disappeared in the next few days.
He brought the tips of the fork over the two marks. "The distance is identical with that of the fork." He then placed the fork on the floor and looked at me nervously.
"Umm may I touch it?"
"Go ahead," I said wondering why he was suddenly being such a gentleman when his usual modus operandi was to grab me by the shoulders without permission. Yup, he definitely was a weird one.
