Once the bell rang Harry and I split up and went to our individual classes. It was only when he left my side did I notice the look of pure disgust on most of the other students faces. With every step I took another head would turn my way and they all wore the same expression.

I took a deep breath and looked ahead, I only had a few more steps to go. But what my eyes avoided my ears could not.

The whispers grew louder until they were no longer whispers, just words but they felt like daggers slicing at my skin. Each time I heard their accusations I visibly flinched like I'd been stabbed.

"Psycho" "Bitch" "Murderer" "Nut job" "Stabbed our darling basketball star"

Did they even know what they were talking about? No, they didn't. How could they? When it had been only Derek and I in the garden that night. And Zayn of course but I didn't think Zayn was going to help me by being my witness. Especially since he was supposedly a human student here.

I had to do this by myself and I only had till lunch because the police officers were going to be questioning students after that, Derek and myself included.

Without giving anyone so much as a second glance I tuned everyone out and picked up the pace. Once I reached the classroom I walked in and took a seat right in front. No one dared to disturb those who sat so close to the teacher, unless they were suicidal so I was pretty safe here.

Other students walked in after me and then I noticed Zayn saunter in slowly. He didn't even bother looking my way as he walked to a seat a few rows behind me.

I tried my best to act cool but I couldn't resist sneaking a glance his way. He was busy talking to a blonde girl sitting next to him. Her brown eyes sparkled as she stared at him fondly and I didn't miss the way her hand kept on brushing his shoulder when she laughed.

It looked like she was laughing at something he said but I knew all to well that she was full on flirting. The worst part was he seemed to be enjoying it. He carried on speaking in an animated manner and I couldn't help but notice he made no attempt to move away.

I must've have been blatantly staring because the two of them suddenly looked my way and I froze.

Zayn then smiled at me politely and then he turned back to the blonde. She didn't even bother smiling, instead she scowled at me before turning back to soak up his undivided attention.

Before I could feel like an even bigger fool I turned around and stared at the black board with a blank expression on my face.

It was only a few hours ago when I had slept in his arms with my head pressed against his chest. I could still remember the way his chest felt so firm yet comfortable and how his fingers running through my hair felt more soothing than any spa money could buy. Not forgetting that passionate kiss we shared when we outside that cheap motel. Just thinking about it made my knees weak.

It was as if none of that had happened. That smile he threw at me was the exact smile you gave someone you hardly knew and it felt worse than any insult I'd heard today.

I gripped my pencil hard as the teacher walked in and instructed us tor read some pages from our textbook.

I couldn't stand the way he looked at me just now. I couldn't stand the way he was talking to that other girl. Something about the way they flirted with each other made my blood boil like nothing ever has.

Throughout the lesson I stared at the words in front of me but they remained a blur mess as I tried to listen in on their conversation. There wasn't much to their whispering to be honest.

It was mainly her pretending to be dumb -at least I hoped she was pretending- and Zayn teaching her. The whole thing annoyed me to no end and I was more than happy when the lesson was over.
