I swung open the door slightly and practically jumped in falling head first unto the plush leather of his car seat. It was only when it registered that I was now in his car did I fully comprehend what I was doing.

The fact was I had no idea what I was doing. It was just a spur of the moment thing that lacked any sense of logic on my part. As I looked around I noticed his car was much too neat for my convenience. There was no blanket or shawl I could hide under and the boot was completely unconnected aside from a narrow opening at the top.

There was no way I could fit through that. If I wanted to hide in the boot I would have to get out of the car again and attempt to open it when he wasn't looking. That itself was riskier than sitting here shitting bricks.

I chewed on my lip and looked up to peek through the window. Zayn had waved at his friends and he was now walking back to his car with a small smile on his face. His eyes seemed to narrow on my face but I ducked so fast I hoped it was all in my head.

What was wrong with me? Why didn't I think before acting? Everything I did seemed to be the other way around. Act first, think of the consequences later. And now I was going to get caught by a bipolar vampire all because of my blind haste to prove a point. I swore to myself that I was never going to be this hasty again.

I hid behind the drivers seat and tried to catch his footsteps but the sound of blood thumping in  my ears drowned out everything else.

The door to the drivers seat finally opened and that was when I realized I had left the side door open slightly. I could not have closed it without him noticing and now I cursed myself inwardly for being such an idiot.

He dumped his school bag on the passengers seat and then started the engine and for a moment I thought I had actually gotten away with it but it only lasted a moment. He then opened his door and walked out with the engine still running.

I looked around for something to throw over myself and then huddled deeper beneath the car seat. I would have to wash my entire body a few times after this.

He opened the boot and I sighed in relief. Thank God I didn't hide in there. I heard the sound of the boot being shut and I tried my best to move in deeper. He finally opened the door I hadn't closed and then he slammed it shut.

I stared ahead wondering how I'd gotten so lucky and was about to adjust myself when the door re-opened.

"What the fuck?" I heard Zayn say in a thick accent I wasn't used to. "Whoever you are, I know you're hiding under my seat."

I chewed the inside of my cheek as I gingerly stuck my head out and got up to face a wide eyed Zayn. To say I felt embarrassed would be the understatement of the century.

His face lit up in surprise and then confusion.

"Rosalie? Why were you hiding in my car?"

I frowned to myself. Why was he acting so surprised? Like he hadn't tormented me ever since school started.

"Please drop the act, Zayn. I know what you are and what you've been doing. Nobody's watching us now so there's no need for this drama," I waved my finger in his face angrily. "You can't just destroy my family and then act like nothing happened."

Zayn took a step back looking more confused than ever. "What on earth are you talking about?"

His accent was so brilliantly believable I had to laugh. I clapped my hands and shot him a sarcastic smile. "Okay, I get it you're supposed to be human Zayn in school and I'll never be able to prove it. You've already admitted that you're the same person."
