Chapter 18 "What is this feeling?"

Peace was covered among everyone. All agreed to returning to their normal lives but, remained cautious about upcoming events they believed were possible. For the next weeks, they settled down, Alex and Lukas happily dating despite a jealous Petra. Caira and Corbin reunited with Logan and Jean in the meantime.

Caira's Point of View.

For the past few weeks turning into a month, alot seemed perfectly normal. Zuko wasn't lying, every once in awhile, he came to the house and we trained. Slow movement left to right to create a beam of lightning and controlling it was my homework at the moment. Though, this part right now was nerve wracking, considering...

"SNEAK ATTACK! AAAAAH!!!" From behind me, I heard Wade yelling. Slightly annoyed, I only slammed my foot into the ground and watched as he caught on fire. He gave a girly shriek. "CAIRA WHYYY?!"

Crossing my arms, I rose a brow, a tiny smirk at my lips. "I seriously expected this of Sokka, not you Wade."

"That's my bub." I looked to find Logan grinning and holding his set of keys. "You ready? Corbin's in the car." I gave a nod following him towards the truck.

Once I hopped in the backseat and Logan began driving, Corbin revealed a few bruises on him. I gave him a questioning look, he replied. "Tenzin told me to 'be the leaf'."

"And that leaf looks like it got ran over by a train." I said. A grunt came from his throat, he held in his head in quite a manner. I chuckled a bit. "Come now, at least you don't have to do a bunch of shock therapy like me."

"Perhaps." Corbin nodded.

The drive didn't feel very long, all we did was go through the city towards this large piece of land with a large building. It looked like a military base. Logan parked the car and all of us got out going towards the door. "Alright you two, I'm dropping you off here."

Corbin and I got confused at that part and looked up at him with brows raised. "What? This place?" I asked.

"Remember I said I made a few arrangements?" Logan quirked up a brown brow, Corbin and I nodded together. "Well Beifong thought some business with the RPD would be good. So take this and go right in." He handed us a bookbag, Corbin and I looked to the doors then back at him. Logan ruffled our heads and chuckled. "I'll pick you both up soon, I'll call just in case."

"A-Alright, see you, Logan." Corbin replied. Our big bub nodded before giving us hugs and leaving.

Both Corbin and I looked back up at the large building before going inside. We saw a bunch of officers talking. I approached the front desk and placed the bookbag down. "Excuse me?"

The receptionist looked up at us and placed down a file beside her. "Yes?"

"Um...We're here because we were enlisted for some business." I presented her the papers Logan had instructed us to show.

The lady adjusted her glasses reading the papers thoroughly, "Ohhh, it's you two. Ok." She looked up at an approaching officer. "Marvin."

"Yes mam?" The officer named Marvin came forward.

The lady gestured towards Corbin and I. "These two are here for service, show them to Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield."

Marvin looked up at Corbin and I, seeing we were both slightly nervous. He gave a reassuring smile and waved for us to follow him. "Alright, come in you two." He turned around walking off, Corbin and I followed behind him. Just then, Marvin opened the door to a room revealing a group of people talking. "Hey Alpha group!" The guys looked up find us three, Marvin pointed at Corbin and I. "Y'all got rookies." He began snapping his fingers and looked to us. "What was y'all's names?"
