More was coming now. Lukas and Petra had gone too far, leaving Alex in a terrible state of mine. Speaking of Alex, she was captured by the man known as Wayne who took her away. No one knew about that...Yet.
Caira's Point of View.
I had been skimming through the fridge and grinned when I found some leftover sandwiches. "Woo hoo!" I told myself, grabbing one, closing the fridge and taking a bite out of it. I felt slight butterflies in my stomach and looked down at what would soon become a large baby bump. For now, I was only a month pregnant. Suddenly my phone rang, so I picked it up and answered it. "Hello?"
"Hey, Caira?" I heard Clayre's voice on the other line and rose a brow. "Have you seen Alex? I ain't seen her in a while."
"No, I haven't?" I asked, raising my brow higher while placing down my sandwich. "Why?"
"Oh gosh. Because Korey and John have been majorly freaking out. Alex hasn't been here the past few weeks." Clayre quickly explained.
That made my eyes widen. Alex has been gone the past few weeks?! "What the hell? Is that why she hasn't been answering my calls?"
"I'm worried, Caira. She has two kids and..." Clayre sighed, I could tell she was frustrated.
I took a deep breath before telling her, "Alright, we'll find her. I'll call Leon and ask him to send out an alert. I'll have General Blade on it too."
"Ok, thanks Caira." She shakily sighed, I would've told her 'you're welcome' if she didn't hang up so quick. I went to my contacts and told Leon to send out an alert since Alex was missing. Thankfully he and Sonya agreed to do so. I looked out the window, wondering where Alex could've been.
Seven months later...
We had been searching for Alex for months now. Nothing has come up, not even one little sign that she could be in trouble. Only one thing made me feel a bit better.
One tiny kick to the stomach did I feel, from a small foot. I placed my hand on the bump and held it. "I'm sorry, little one. I've got you." I told my baby who hopefully heard my voice. Standing up slowly, I pressed my hands against my back and groaned. Back pain and desk duty sucked, even worse, I couldn't firebend. Zuko forbid me from doing so until the baby was born. It didn't stop me from being a bit productive though.
"Back ache?" I looked to find my husband there, approaching me and having his glasses on. I gave him a nod, Gohan chuckled and led me to the couch. "Sit down, it's time you start to relax."
"I've been relaxing." I replied to him. "But they have been kicking." I gestured to my large stomach where our child was growing.
"Really?" Gohan asked, placing his hand on my baby bump and smiling when he felt a kick. "Whoa! This one will be an outstanding martial artist!"
I gave a small chuckle. "Well hopefully they won't need to fight." After a bit of sitting down, I stood up again, Gohan went to do some training with Goku, even Piccolo. I decided to take a little walk and get my mind off things. Upon my little course, I heard a familiar voice. One I never thought I would hear again.
"Well well, if it isn't Zuzu's little pupil?"
I whipped around and my eyes widened upon seeing her there. "A-Azula?!" She was leaning against the wall, a smirk on her face as she came towards me.
"Nice to see you again, Cai." Her eyes furrowed and I glanced to find she noticed my baby bump. "My goodness, you've gotten fat."
That made me glare at her a bit. "Wow, thanks for the compliment. What do you want?" I asked.
