Chapter 26 "Return"

After three long years, things were changing. Alex escaped the man who kidnapped her, Caira and her children were rescued from Gohan's abuse, while Petra dealt with Lukas's unfaithfulness. The others were unaware of Alex's escape but continued their search anyway while attempting to continue their lives.

Third Person Point of View.

They all stood sitting down, few of their children running around and playing, their giggles coming. "It's been three years..." Korey said, holding a picture of Alex.

"I know...I miss her..." Clayre looked down a bit.

"It's been so long..." Rin added.

LJ and Jenny ran by them all, allowing them to get a good look at how much they looked like Alex. "They'll never know who their mom was..." Jen sadly said. Grief struck them hard. Not a day went by where they didn't miss Alex.

That was until...

*knock knock knock!*

A knock came to the door, Clayre offered to get it. She walked to the door and opened it but her eyes widened as she gasped in shock, covering her mouth.

"Clayre? What is it?" Yukio asked, going over to the door only to find the sigh before him.

"ALEX?!"

Alex stared at them, purple eyebags under her eyes. She was drenched from rain, covered in dirt and her clothes were tattered, after what seemed to be a week or two on the road. "H-Help me...." She croaked.

Quickly, Clayre gently took Alex into her arms and pulled her inside, Yukio closing the door. "Guys!" Clayre cried out, worry and panic hitting her upon seeing Alex in this condition.

"What is it?!" Rin got up running toward them with John and Korey, the others following behind them. He stopped when he saw his younger sister before him, injured and coated with filth.

"ALEX!!!" Johgn and Korey cried out, immediately going into a protective parental mode. They rushed to Alex, but Clayre held her hand out as a way of stopping them.

"Give her some space!" Clayre said, taking Alex over to a nearby couch.

"Who is dat?" Minerva looked to find LJ and Jenny going over, their expressions filled with curiosity. Minerva eyes began widening.

Alex glanced over, a faint breath escaping her mouth upon seeing her two children. "L-LJ?....J-Jenny?..." She tried limping over only for the two children to back away. "M-My kids..." She said, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as she fell.

"Crap!" Bon said, running and catching Alex.

"Get her to a room! Now!" Korey demanded. Bon, with the help of Clayre and Yukio took the unconscious Alex to a guest room to be taken care of.

"Uncle Rin?..." Jenny said, her tiny hand grabbing onto Rin's sleeve and yanking it a bit. "Who was that?"

Rin looked to her and back at the room where Alex was taken too. He couldn't lie to them, he had to tell them who Alex was, despite the fact they would grow confused. "LJ, Jenny, that...was your mother." He said.

LJ and Jenny rose their tiny little brows, looking to the room, going to find their mother laying in the bed, with Yukio and Clayre tending to her. 'That's our mommy?...'

Meanwhile, a firebending saiyan woman laid in bed, staring at the wall with tears in her eyes, not moving one inch out of the bed. Her children were in the other room, playing with a few other kids. She slowly sat up when Zuko came in, holding a tray with two cups and a teapot on it. "H-Hi..." Caira spoke out, allowing the tears to slide down her face.
