Chapter 29 "End of Me"

One part involved happiness and love. The Okumura twins begot families of their own, while Alex got engaged to Clayre. The other part recreated a nightmare that Caira had escaped nearly two years ago, now it much more was to be told.

Third Person Point of View

It was a perfect night for this event.

This was the day of marriage.

Alex and Clayre were finally tying the knot after two months of preparation.

There Alex stood at the aisle, while the others sat in chairs. She felt nervous but, it went down when Caira stood behind her, placing a hand a way of saying it would be alright. "You're going to be fine." She said. "I'm so happy for you."

Alex gave her a glance and smiled. "Thanks Cai." She only received a nod as Caira sat back in her reserved seat.

Just then, the doors opened, revealing Clayre in a white poofy dress, the veil in front of her face and a bouquet of flowers in her hand. A bright smile was on her lips as she began walking, receiving looks and sounds of awe. Young Jenny covered the aisle with white petals before reaching the end and going off to the side to sit by her brother. What almost seemed like forever to Alex, Clayre finally reached the end, going to be in front of the one who asked for her hand in marriage.

Then the ceremony began, everyone watching as Alex and Clayre were holding hands, ready to finalize their marriage.

"I do." Alex said, after saying her vows, then gently placing a golden ring onto Clayre's ring finger.

Once Clayre's vows came and were spoke, Alex's bride took the last ring. "I do." Clayre said, placing the ring onto Alex's finger.

Then came the best part.

"You may kiss your bride."

With that, Alex and Clayre engulfed each other in a tight hug, kissing deeply. Cheers rang through the place, hands clapped, LJ and Jenny happily giggled along with Conner, Blaze and Ronan.

The reception came, Alex and Clayre happily danced together while everyone else talked amongst themselves and ate food. Meanwhile, Caira was only picking at her small portion of food only to be approached by Desmond and a few of the others. "Hey hey! There's my favorite warrior!" Desmond grinned, sitting beside her.

She gave a small smile and looked at him. "Hey."

"How you been?" He asked.

"Good. Yourself?"

"I'm swell."

Both chatted a bit before Caira felt a strong hand go on her shoulder, subtlety gripping it. Caira hid a gulp and held the hand. "Hello, Darling." She knew it was Thor who greeted her and sat down but, Caira also knew the look on his face had meant. 'You and I are going to have a little chat when we get home.' She knew she was in for a load of lashings.

Much later, Alex and Clayre were out in a vehicle, waving at everyone. "Bye!" They all shouted. "Enjoy the honeymoon!"

"See you guys!" Alex and Clayre shouted back, smiling as they slowly drove off, kissing each other. Everyone else soon began parting for home, giving each other their goodbyes while John and Korey took LJ and Jenny.

Later...

Alex and Clayre made out at a river with a cabin nearby. It was their honeymoon night, both smiling at each other. "This is the best day of my life." Clayre said.

"What makes it more beautiful is you." Alex told her, a grin on her face as Clayre giggled, gently kissing her. A moment of silence rang through them as they sipped on champagne but eventually it was broken.
