The search for Alex was put with as much effort as possible, only constant looking. Only in the meantime, Caira gave birth to twins, Connor and Blaze. Yet, there were much more matters.
Clayre's Point of View.
A year went by.
Almost two years since Alex went missing.
It been so long. I missed her so much. I wanted her back at home. Where she belonged.
Up on the wall was a picture of her, smiling and her green eyes shining. Above read the inscription. 'MISSING' I had been printing out these papers and hanging them everywhere I could just to see if anyone else knew where she was at. Maybe get a little hint?
The coffee shop wasn't the same without her. I could remember a few times where she was actually happy and laughing with me. Then the time came where I took her and her two kids in. Not even my other co-workers could help. Only thing they would say to me was. "She'll show up." But then I knew a few of them would mutter under their breath. "Maybe, maybe not."
I didn't even care if it was cold right now, it wasn't what bothered me. What did bother me was the fact that Alex had been gone, her kids are almost two, then there's assumptions being made. Korey's for instance, saying that Lukas and Petra had something to do with this. I could feel the waterworks coming as I slowly traced the tips of my fingers down the poster, where Alex's face stood in the middle. I wanted her back, to hug her, hold her and just...well...I...Over time, I really liked her. As in...I developed feelings for her. I could hear her kids giggling and her chuckling, seeing them play while I made them food. Her nice smile and...Everything.
Dropping to my knees, I clenched my fists tightly and let out a pained cry. "Wh-Where are you?! I-I miss you!" My head hurt so much from the burning feeling of trying to find her. If there were more ways to locate her, I would do it. I'm more than willing to do whatever it takes to find her.
Even if it meant all this stress...
One year later...
Caira's Point of View.
I wiped my forehead, sighing from the workload Chris had me do, training with Jill and Carlos was another thing. Once I entered the house, I smiled at a certain voice. "Mama!" There went Connor running at me, in his little onesie. He and his sister made me feel better from everything I was doing.
"Hey you!" I gently picked him and held him in my arms. "Oh how's my son?"
"Good!" He adorable voice squeaked as he snuggled into my arms. I chuckled as I hugged him before finding Blaze playing with building blocks. I set him down and let him run off to play with her. They got along so well.
A few hours later, I sat at my nearby desk, going onto the computer and typing away on a few reports I intended to send to Leon. It was when I finished up that I heard.
"I hope that wasn't my plate on the table."
I looked to find Gohan standing there with his arms crossed. My smile faded and I got up from my chair. "Gohan? What's wrong?"
"Are you deaf or what?" Gohan grabbed me by the wrist and yanked me toward the kitchen. He waved his hand towards the food I spent over 30 minutes. "What the hell is this?"
That confused me, I gave him a frown. "I-It's parmesan chicken with steamed vegetables..."
"I deserve better! You make the same crap every day! Sheesh, you need to spend more time here!" He yelled at me.
I flinched at that and tried taking my wrist away from him. "G-Gohan, I-I do spend time here! I just got done working!"
Gohan rolled his eyes scoffing. "Yea, chatting up with Leon, Ethan, or worse, that Carlos guy."
