Chapter 15 - Forgiving

Hey. I don't know how long it's been. Only like two weeks of school though. Last day is May 24th. :D

Update: Aaaaand it's now June.

Scott's POV

A few days later, Mitch and I begin planning a date for after school.

I smile. "Hey, baby?", I ask, continuing once Mitch looks at me. "Do you want to meet up by that tree on the parking lot, then go get something to eat?"

My cute little lover nods and smiles. "That sounds perfect." He says happily, gently kissing my cheek. I blush slightly and smile, once again not noticing Derek behind us as he listens to every word we say.

Derek's POV

Everyone went to their classes when the bell rang. It being 7th period gave me plenty of time to think about what I was going to do. Yeah, I still want to be a douchebag.

The second that the final bell rang, signaling that school was over, I went out to the tree. I know that Mitch will get there before Scott. Scott had to talk to a teacher about extra credit.

I do my research.

I hid behind the tree and about two minutes later, I saw Mitch walk over. I walked out from behind the tree and went over to him. "Mitch?" I asked softly as I came face to face with the little Italian boy.

He looked up at me and I already saw fear flashing in his eyes. "What do you want..?" He asked, sounding a bit hostile as he bit his lip and stepped back.

I put my hands up in surrender. "Hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. For literally everything." I say softly, almost laughing at how much of a lie that is. "Really..?" He asks quietly as he looks at me with uncertainty.

Quickly, I nod. "Yeah. I regret everything." I say softly. He nods a little and smiles. "Oh, it's ok."

God, he's so forgiving. Dumb bitch.

I smile. "Really? You're the best, Mitch." He smiles wider. "People make mistakes."

As I see Scott coming towards us, I hold my arms out for a hug and I'm rewarded by Mitch giving me a big hug.

I hug back, holding him close for around ten seconds. Scott gets closer so I pull away and smile. "Thanks, Mitch. I've got to go, but I'll see you later?" I ask and smile.

Mitch nods and smiles, waving a goodbye as I walk to my car.

Mitch's POV

I look over and see Scott coming towards me and I smile, running to meet him. "Scotty!" I squeal and hug him.

He doesn't immediately hug back and his excitement definitely didn't match mine. "Was that Derek..?" Scott asked with a bit of disgust and perhaps worry in his voice as he hesitantly wraps his arms around me.

I nod a little. "Yeah.." I say softly, confused as to why he seems so upset.

"Why were you hugging him? He's horrible. He's one of the main reasons I used to be so mean."

I just frown and nod a little. "Alright, Scotty."

He gently fixes my hair. "You don't have to be sad, baby. I'm not upset with you. I just don't want him manipulating you."

I nod and my smile returns.

He pulls me in fit a hug and I happily return it. He inhales and pouts. "You smell like his cologne. Gross."

"I'm sorry." I say softly. He shakes his head as he pulls away, wanting to make me feel safe and happy again. "You don't need to apologize, angel." My smile returns full force at the pet name. "I love you." He says with a bright smile.

I smile at the sweet gesture. "I love you too."

Scott smiles. "How about that date, baby?" I nod and smile. "Let's go." I say as I pull away, immediately holding his hand and loving how he intertwines our fingers.

I smile as we go on our little date, which included going out to eat at a cute little Italian restaurant, the same one we went to months ago, and going bowling.

Moments like this make me extremely grateful that I not only have Scott, but that I helped him change for the better.

I love him.
