Manny got confirmation that Gio was dead and gave the order to move in on Mendoza with a shootout between Mendoza and his men and the Agents.
"Do you have him in your sights, Agent Riser," Manny radio the sniper.
"That is a confirmation, sir," Agent Riser said.
"Take the shot, we're being pinned down with gunfire," Manny ordered.
The sniper pulled the trigger killing Mendoza instantly. Then he set his sights on other men taking down a different one as the agents stormed the house taking out the remaining men.
Once they were all confirmed dead, Manny declared the area clear.
"Sir?"
Manny looked at an agent, "Yes?"
"You have a call," he said, handing him a phone.
Manny took the phone and answered it, "Hello?"
The person on the other line talked to him and Manny discussed what happened then hung up the phone. Ash walked over to Manny, "What did he say?"
Manny rubbed his jaw, "Well, looks like I have a lot explaining to do. Ash, can you brief Director Miller? I have something to do."
"Sure, go take care of business," he said, meeting with Director Miller.

We stood outside as other agents and the ME took the bodies away. They had put a blanket around my shoulders since it was chilly outside. I stood there not knowing what to say as the four of them talked to other agents. All this time I thought they were just these crazy high school boys and it turned out they were undercover agents. This made me wonder if Jaxon meant what he said. Did he really love me or was it just part of the undercover persona? I just didn't know.
He looked at me then finished talking with the others and walked over to me. I was leaning against a car holding the blanket. He walked over and took a place next to me and leaned against the car.
"You okay," he asked me.
"Considering some lunatic tried to kill me and my supposed high school boyfriend turned out to be an agent? Just peachy," I replied.
He turned and looked at me, "Look, I know having to hide the fact I'm an agent was wrong but it was for your protection."
I looked at him, "I have one question."
"What's that?" He asked.
"Did you mean what you said? Did you mean it when you said you loved me," I asked him?
He took my hand in his and looked into my eyes, "Remember at the dance when I said, we can't help who we love, it's our heart that decides?"
"Yes."
"I meant that," he said. I looked at him and he put a hand on the side of my face, "Sasha, when I was given this assignment, I never planned on falling for anyone, but you snuck up on me."
I stared at him as he continued, "I meant every word I said to you about how I felt about you. Falling in love with you wasn't the plan, but it happened."
I wanted to be mad at him, but I just couldn't be. I pulled my hand from his and reached up, pulling his face to mine and giving him a kiss. He was right, we can't control who we fall in love with, that control belongs to our hearts.
He wrapped his arms around me, kissing me back. As we continued to kiss we heard someone clear their throat and we stopped to see my dad standing there with the other guys.
"Oh hey Manny," Jaxon said.
"Really, Jaxon?"
Jaxon shrugged as he released me and I looked at dad.
"I guess you're not very happy with me right now," he said to me.
"Well, not really, but I understand why you did it," I said to him.
"Well, it's over. Mendoza and his son are dead," dad said.
"So, I guess this means we all have a new assignment, sir," Liam said.
He looked at everyone and said, "Yes."
They all looked at each other and sighed. I knew what this meant. They would all be assigned a new case which meant whatever romance I had with Jaxon would be short-lived. Just when I finally meet someone, turns out he's an agent and has to move on.
"I'll give you a few minutes, but then we need to head back to base for your debriefing and a new assignment," dad said as he walked away.
I said goodbye to the guys as they headed into dad's direction. Jaxon looked at me, "I'm sorry I have to leave."
"Yeah, we can't control who our heart loves just like we can't control when it breaks because of the person leaves," I said trying not to cry.
"If I could stay I would," he said as he brushed my cheek with the back of his hand.
I nodded, "I get it. It's okay."
He gave me a kiss on the forehead and headed towards the other agents. I watched them all get into the car and leave. As they drove away, my heart broke. Tony came and got me, driving me home.
As we headed to my house, Tony tried to talk to me, but I just looked out of the window. I didn't feel like many conversations after everything that happened. We pulled up to the house and I got out of the SUV, heading inside the house.
Nana saw me and gave me a hug, "Oh nieta, it will be okay."
"Yeah," I said, giving her a kiss and heading upstairs. Instead of going to my room, I went to Jaxon's. I knew he would send for his stuff. I walked in and over to a chair that had a shirt draped over it. I picked it up and took a sniff of it, smelling his familiar cologne.
I walked over to the bed and sat down. As I held his shirt, I cried. How could one guy have this effect over me so much? As I cried, holding his shirt, Nana stood at the door and watched me. She walked in and sat down next to me, pulling me into her as I cried over having to say goodbye to Jaxon.
The boy I fell in love with was gone and I would never see him again. My heart broke that night.
