Surprise!

The day after our crazy night, I was a little sore. Plus, I had to sneak back to my room without nana finding out. While I snuck back to my room, Nana came out of her. I climbed into bed and tried to figure out how I could stay there. That damn Jaxon.

At one point nana did check on me, "Nieta, are you sick?"

I opened my eyes, "I don't think I'm up to moving around today nana."

She looked at me worried, then laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"I was once young, too, and your abuelo was a very passionate man." She smiled and I wanted to die. "You rest. I bring food later."

She left and I let out a groan; so much for hiding my night. I promptly fell back to sleep.

I awoke a few hours later to see Jaxon, smirking at me, causing me to scream and fall out of bed. I hit the floor with a thud.

"Ugh."

He leaned over the side, "Surprise."

"That is so not funny," I said with a glare. I got up and got back into bed.

"Well, considering I woke up to find myself alone this morning, I would say so," he grinned.

"I was trying to keep my nana from finding out about last night," I huffed.

"And how is that working out for you?"

"Not so good, apparently, my abuelo was a very passionate man," I said to him causing him to chuckle.

"Well, get dressed, I have a surprise for you."

"Can't I stay in bed? My body aches," I whined.

"Nope," he leaned over giving me a quick peck, then getting off the bed and leaving; great, so much for me recuperating from the night before.

I showered, dressed and went downstairs to eat something. Nana was a bit surprised to see me, but she just chuckled while shaking her head. This was embarrassing.

After we ate, Jaxon decided to take me somewhere. I didn't think I could even leave, but he assures me it was fine. We weren't going far plus he was carrying. We just needed to be back in a few hours.

I had to admit that getting out of the house was actually nice. Talk about cabin fever.

He pulled up to an abandoned house and we got out. He opened the door and we walked in then my eyes widened. Bree and Talia stood there. He closed the door behind us.

Talia started ranting and raving in Italian and it wasn't pretty. Considering Spanish is close to, Italian I understood what she said. It took a few minutes as she ranted and raved before finally calming down. Then she walked over and hugged me.

"Don't ever leave us again," she said to me.

"I kind of don't have a choice," I sighed.

"Is this because we know about your dad and everyone being a Fed?" Bree asked me.

"Yeah."

"We didn't say a word," Talia assures me.

"You didn't?"

"No, friends don't snitch on each other. It's a good way to get killed," she said casually. That made me feel better.

"How did you girls find this place?" I asked them.

"Jaxon got a hold of us and gave us directions. Told us not to say anything. So, we didn't," Bree reassures me.

"But my dad is investigating your father's," I said to them.
