Chapter 10

Jayden’s POV

I woke up the next morning and got all my stuff out and ready for school. I walked downstairs and had a quick breakfast before starting my walk.  “Jay wait up” I heard behind me.  I turned around to see Ryland running to catch up with me. “Hey Ry” I said once he caught up. “Sup” he asked. “Not much just making my way to the gates of hell” I said earning a chuckle from him. “Come on its not that bad” he said. “Coming from the guy who has been here before” I said. “No worries Ill show you the ropes” he said. “Really” I asked. “Yea” he said. “Thanks” I said. “Don’t thank me thank Rocky he asked me to” he said. “That was actually kind of sweet of him” I said. “I know right I was shocked” he said making me laugh.  We finally got to school and he walked me to the office to get my schedule.  “Welcome Ms. Walker have a lovely day” the lady at the desk said. Ryland showed me where my locker was and headed off to class.  The rest of the day went by pretty fast considering we only had a week until summer vacation so everyone was pretty much done teaching, plus none of the students really wanted to learn anymore.

Ryland and I walked out to the parking lot just as Rocky pulled up. “Well I guess your chariot awaits” he said. “Thanks again Ry for showing me around I appreciate it” I said giving him a hug. “No problem” he said and headed back to his house.  I threw my bag in the back of his car and hoped into the seat next to him.  I looked up and he was smiling at me. “What” I chuckled. “How was your first day” he said in a duh tone. “It was school it sucked” I said making him laugh. “Good that means it hasn’t changed since I was there” he said pulling out of the parking lot.  “So did Ry show you around” he asked. “yea thanks for that by the way” I said and he just smiled. “Figured you could use a little help” he said. “Yea” I said. ”So where are we going” I asked after a few minutes. “It’s a surprise” he said. “Of course it is” I said chuckling. “You know most people would think its cute” he said. “Oh believe me if my friend told me a guy did this for her I would think its cute but when Im the one being taken to who knows where its not cute” I said earning a laugh from him. “Well sorry but your going to have to deal” he said. “fine” I said.

Rocky pulled into a parking lot and literally there was nothing around. “This is your surprise” I asked. “No, you really think I would drag you to a parking lot” he said. “Well with you I wouldn’t be surprised” I said. “Oh shut up” he said getting out of the car.  I got out and Rocky put a blind fold over my eyes. “Really Rocky is this necessary” I asked. “Yea kind of” he said. “You better not let me bump into anything” I said. “Don’t worry I got you” he said intertwining our fingers and we started walking. “I swear Rocky if I trip and fall on my face…” I started but stopped when I felt him scoop me up bridal style and continue walking. “Better” he asked. “Much” I said chuckling.  He let out a small laugh. “Of course it is” he said. He stopped after a few more minutes and put me down. “Can I take the blind fold off now” I asked. “Yea I guess” he said. I pulled it off and my eyes literally bugged out of my head.  We were at a small private beach and it was absolutely gorgeous.  There was a basket and a blanket on the sand not too far from the water. “Well come on” he said motioning for me to follow him.

We walked over to the blanket and sat down. “You hungry” he asked. “Actually yea” I said.  He opened the basket and handed me a box from my favorite pizza place. “How did you..” I started. “Rydel told me your like obsessed with it” he said chuckling. I laughed a little at the thought of him going to his sister for help.  It was cute.  I opened the box and saw my meatball and ricotta pizza sitting there. I did a little happy dance before taking a bit. “Having fun there” he laughed. “Dude you have no idea how heavenly this stuff is” I said. “Your right I don’t” he said taking a piece and stuffing it in his mouth. “Dude what the hell” I said laughing. “Yea like you were going to eat that whole thing by yourself” he said “Um, yea I was” I said smirking. “Sure you were” he laughed. “Its good though right” I said. “Surprisingly really good” he said grabbing another piece.  “Haha I got you hooked” I said doing another happy dance. “Its not really that hard to get me hooked on food” he said. “Stopping killing my vibe yo” I said making him laugh.  “You’re a piece of work” he said as we continued to eat.  We finished eating and I helped him pack everything back up.  He stood up and held out his hands. “Come on” he said helping me up. “Where” I asked. “Were going for a walk” he said leading me down to the water. 

We were talking and walking until we reached a long line of rocks and being the crazy person I am decided to walk on them.  I almost fell off a few times so Rocky offered me his hand and I held on to it while I walked on the rocks.  Haha rocks Rocky tehee.  “So Jay I have a question for you” he said. “Shoot” I said. “Well, I have kind of already told you that I really like you and you kind of said the same thing” he started. “mmmhmmm” I said.  “And I really like spending time with you and stuff so I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend” he said. I looked at him and he was looking at me with pleading eyes. “Yea” I said with the biggest smile on my face.  He jumped in the air letting go of my hand and fist bumping. However due to his letting go of my hand I started to fall off the rocks. “Rocky” I said. I fell off but before I hit the ground I felt two arms scoop me up.  I looked up to see a blushing Rocky. “Sorry” he said. I chuckled. “Its all good” I said standing up.  I turned around so I was facing him.  “We should probably be getting back my mother will throw a fit if I miss dinner” I said. “Okay but one thing first”  He said. “What” I asked.  He pulled me close with his hand that was still on my waist, lifting my chin up with his other hand leaned in and kissed me.  This was like ten times better than our kiss on my balcony.  After a few seconds he pulled away. “I forgot to ask you how your back was” I said earning a chuckle from him. “Still a little sore” he laughed. “Yea sorry about that” I said getting red. “Don’t be, it was totally worth it” he said leaning in and kissing me again.  This time I wrapped my arms around his neck and he snaked his around my waist.  Soon enough he depend the kiss and literally it felt like my stomach was going to explode.  Kissing Rocky was amazing, there is no feeling like it.  We pulled away and he took my hand intertwining our fingers and we walked back to his car like that, driving back to his house.  We pulled in the driveway, said our goodbyes and I walked back to my house, not before getting a kiss of course. :P
