Chapter 15

Jayden’s POV

I woke up in someone’s bedroom but when I looked around it wasn’t Rocky’s.  I sat up a little too quickly and got a really bad headache.  “Easy there Jay” Ross said running over and sitting next to me putting his arm around me. Oh yea I am in Ross’ room. “Note to self don’t sit up fast” I said making him chuckle. “You want anything” he asked. “No I think I am okay” I said rubbing my head. “Jay can I ask you something” He asked. “yea shoot” I said looking up at him. “This is really weird but if you’re going to hurt me can you get it over with now” he said. “You want me to hurt you” I asked. “Well I deserve it I hurt you bad Jay” he chuckled looking at his hands. “Fine” I said.  He closed his eyes waiting for the hit, but instead of hurting him I kissed his cheek.  “What was that” he asked. “I am not going to hurt you Ross” I said. “Why” he asked. “First, you have been sitting here watching me sleep for who knows how long, you have apologized many times and it was an accident” I said. “Really” he said. “Yea Ross no worries its fine” I said chuckling. “Your awesome you know that” he said. “Yea I know” I said making him laugh. “Rocky really lucked out with you” He said getting up and going back to drawing. “What you working on” I asked. “Just doodling” he said. “Can I see” I asked. “Its not that good” he said. “Its probably ten times better than I could do” I said. “Fine if you really want to” He said patting the spot next to him. I walked over and sat next to him and he handed me his notebook.  I was a sketch of someone sleeping, of me sleeping. “Is this me” I asked. “Um yea, I got bored and you looked really peaceful so I kind of just..yea” he said. “Ross this is amazing I had no idea you could draw like this” I said. “Yea I have a lot of hidden talents” he said. Ross was starring at me, I never realized how amazing his eyes were…they were such a deep brown you could just get lost in them…what am I saying I like Rocky.  I think he started leaning in but his bedroom door opening saved me.

“What are you doing up you should be sleeping” Rocky said. “I was I just woke up Ross was showing me this isn’t it amazing” I said showing him the drawing. “Is that you” he asked. “Yea” I said. “You drew her when she was asleep” He asked Ross. “Yea” he said. “Dude creeper much” Rocky said taking my hand and pulling me back to his room. “Ill see you later Ross” I yelled over my shoulder. “Dude what is your problem” I asked once he shut the door. “What do you mean” he asked. “You were kind of a jerk to your brother” I said. “Well I don’t really like it when my brother hits on my girlfriend” he said. “Rocky he didn’t hit on me” I said. “Oh but he did, he drew you in Ross’ world that’s hitting on you” he said. “That’s not true Rocky you’re overreacting” I said. “You don’t know him like I do Jay” he said. “You’re right I don’t but don’t worry because that is about to change” I said. “And what do you mean by that” he said. There was something in his eyes, the soft sensitive funny guy I like was gone and was replaced with rage, anger, and jealousy.   “I like Ross I want to get to know him better” I said. “NO” he said. “NO?”I asked. “NO” he said again. “And who are you to tell me who I can talk to” I said getting a little upset myself.  “I am your boyfriend and I say no” he said. “You cant control me Rocky” I said.  “Wanna bet im your boyfriend and if you want it to stay that way then you will stay away from my brother” he yelled.  “You know what don’t worry about it Rocky you don’t have to worry about me anymore” I said picking up my coat and putting my shoes on. “Where are you going” he asked. “Home” I said walking out of his room.  “Jay come back” he yelled running after me. He pulled my arm and I yanked it back causing me to fall landing in someone’s arms. I turned around to see Ross. “Whats going on” he asked. “Don’t worry about it” Rocky said pulling me up out of his arms.  “Rocky let me go leave me alone” I said going behind Ross. “What did you do” Ross asked. “What did I do, this is your fault” Rocky yelled at Rocky. “What did I do” Ross yelled back. “Your hitting on my girlfriend” Rocky yelled. “Ex-girlfriend” I said.  “What” Rocky said barely audible.  “You cant control me Rocky were done” I said tears forming in my eyes. “Fine” he said turning around. “Rocky” Ross said putting his arm on his shoulder. Rocky turned around and punched Ross in the face knocking him to the ground.  I looked from Ross to Rocky. “Who you gunna pick” he said a tear running down his cheek. I looked back at Ross. “Just go Jay” Ross said getting up and holding his nose which was bleeding.  “You’re an ass Rocky” I said grabbing Ross’ arm and pulling him into the kitchen to get him cleaned up.  I heard Rocky run up the stairs and slam his door.

Ross’s POV

I was sitting on a chair while Jay cleaned up my face. “Oww” I said. “Sorry” she whispered.  “You should have gone with him Jay” I said looking at her. “No I shouldn’t have, he is not who I thought he was” she said. “What happened” I asked. She looked up at me. “He told me I had to stay away from him or he was breaking up with me, so I went to leave and that’s what you walked in on.  I thought he was going to apologize but then he hit you, and well Im not dealing with that” She said a tear slipping down her face.  I wiped it with my thumb and she looked up at me.  “Im sorry, its my fault” I said. “No it would have come out anyway whether is was Riker or Ryland not your fault” she said. I pulled her into a hug.  “Im going to go home I will see you later Ross” she said. “Get some rest your head probably hurts still” I said. “I will, try not to beat up your brother and stay away from him I don’t want to be attending your funeral either” she said making me chuckle. “Ill try” I said.  She gave me one last hug and kissed my cheek before walking to the door and heading back to her house.  Was it true, was I really falling for my best friends girl?
