Chapter 14

Rocky’s POV

I woke up the next morning with Jay snuggled into my chest.  I pulled back some hair that was covering her face and saw that she was still asleep.  She was so peaceful when she was asleep.  She started to stir a little and her eyes popped open. “Morning princess” I said. “Hi” she mumbled. “How is your head” I asked. “Hurts, how’s my nose” she asked lifting her head. “Black and blue” I said running my finger along the bruise careful not to hurt her.  “Great” she said laying back down. “If you want we can get some breakfast and then ask my mom for more meds for your headache” I said. “Yea” she said sitting up. I got off my bed and pulled her up with me. “Woah” she said staggering a bit. “You okay” I asked. “Yea just a little dizzy” she said trying to regain her balance.  “Come on lets get you downstairs” I said picking her up bridal style and carrying her to the kitchen. “Morning kids” my mom said when we got downstairs. “Hi mom” I said sitting Jay down in a chair. “How you feeling sweetie” my mom asked. “Like the world is spinning and my head hurts really bad.” She said. “seems like you have a concussion” my mom said. “Have some breakfast and I will get you something for the headache, you should put some more ice on the nose too, get some more rest as well” my mom said putting food in front of us.  “Im going to get some medication I will be right back” she said walking up the stairs just as Ross was walking down.

Ross’s POV

I was walking downstairs to get some food when I saw Rocky and Jay sitting eating.  She didn’t look that bad then again I couldn’t see her face.  “Morning guys” I said walking to the table. “hey Ross” Rocky said. “Look Jay I am so sorry” I said. She turned around and my eyes widened. Her nose was black and blue from the tip of her nose to the bridge and into her cheeks a little bit. I feel so bad she must be in so much pain. “OH my gosh Jay Im so sorry” I said walking over to her and looking at her face. “Does it hurt” I asked. “Not that bad” she said. “Im so…” I started. “Ross its fine, it was an accident” she said. “Can I have a hug at least” I asked. “Sure” she said she started to stand up but Rocky caught her just before she fell. “I think I need a raincheck on that hug Ross” she said. “Whats wrong” I asked. “She has a concussion and she said it feels like the world is spinning she cant really stand” he said. “Oh” I said. I felt so bad about what happened I need to try and find a way to make it up to her. “Alright Im back” my mom said. “Here sweetie take two of these” she said. Jay took the pills and after a few minutes started to feel drowsy. “Im tired” Jay said. “Why don’t you take her upstairs to get some sleep” my mom said to Rocky. “I would but Riker is in the middle of one of his jam sessions so she wont get much sleep in my room plus I have to go meet Ratliff in an hour at the music shop” Rocky said. “She can sleep in my room, I will watch her till you get back if you want” I said. “You sure” Rocky asked. “Yea it’s the least I could do” I said. “You okay with that” Rocky asked Jay. “Yea sure” she said. “Can you carry her up there” Rocky asked me.  “Yea I got her” I said. I picked her up bridal style and carried her up to my room.  I laid her on I said kissing her forehead. “Can you stay in here” she asked. “Sure” I said sitting on Ryland’s bed and pulling out my notebook and started drawing.  I really felt bad about punching Jay but I think she forgives me, I really hope she isn’t the kind of person who is into payback because I am pretty sure she is not the kind of girl who doesn’t know how to throw a punch.
