Crashing Into My Life

Chapter 13

Rocky’s POV

We had just finished rehearsing and we wear setting up the tv to watch a movie. “What are we watching” Jay asked. “I don’t know why don’t you pick something” I said. “Fine” she said getting up and walking to the shelf. “Pick Tangled” Rydel said. “Hey no peer pressure, Romeo and Juliet” Ross said. “Guys let her pick” I said laughing. She handed a movie to Riker, “Wow she is more like you then I thought” he said looking at me as she sat down next to me. “What did you pick” I asked. “It’s a surprise” she said smirking. I waited until the main menu came on and it was The Purge. “Good choice” I said smirking. “I freaking love this movie” she said. “oh” I said pouting a little bit. Guess that means no cuddling for me.  She sighed and moved onto my lap resting her head on my chest wrapping my arm around her. “Happy” she said. “Very” I said chuckling.  I love how she can read me like a book even when I don’t say what I mean she knows what I want.

Ross was sitting next to us on the couch.  I really don’t know why he was watching this he hates scary movies not that this was really scary but even still.  The guy with the mask popped up and Ross screamed flailing his arms and punching Jay in the face. “What the hell Ross” she yelled cupping her nose. “Jay I am so sorry” he said. We had paused the movie and Riker turned the light on.  “Let me see it” I said trying to move her hand.  “No im fine” she said not moving her hand. “He could have broken your nose Jay let me see” I said. “He isn’t that strong” she said making me laugh. “I know but I want to make sure” I said. She finally moved her hands and blood came pouring out of her nose. She covered her nose again once she felt it drip.  I scooped her up bridal style and carried her upstairs. “Mom” I yelled. I put her on the kitchen counter and got her a towel to try and stop the bleeding. “Whats wrong” my mom asked coming into the kitchen. “Ross got scared and punched her” I said. “Oh that boy, sweetie let me have a look” she said walking over to Jay. I took her hand and she pulled down the towel.  It was still bleeding really bad.  “Rocky hold the towel under her chin” my mom said.  “Is it broken” I asked. “It doesn’t look it, but he definitely hit her hard, she will probably have a bruise in the morning.  We need to do something to get the bleeding to stop though” she said. “Is it weird that I feel like im going to pass out” Jay said.  “That’s not good” my mom said. “Im going to go get some medicine and some ice she probably has a concussion. Rocky make sure she stays awake until I get back” she said walking upstairs. “Does it hurt” I asked. “No it feels fricken fantastic my head feels like its going to explode and my nose is gushing blood” she said. “Oh good I thought you were going to say it hurt” I said making her laugh.  “If it makes you feel any better you look hot with blood gushing out of your nose” I said making her laugh more. “Aww shit it hurts to laugh” she said touching her nose. “Im sorry” I said. “Not your fault” she said. “Tell you what how bout once we get you all fixed up you can go punch Ross” I said. “Sounds good to me” she said yawning. “Not yet a few more minutes princess” I said rubbing her leg as I held the towel under her chin.

“Alright Im back” my mom said. She took the towel and wiped up the blood on Jay’s face before having me hold a clean one under her chin again.  She gave her some pain medicine and put a piece of gauze under her nose to try and get it to stop bleeding.  “Alright no breathing through your nose, only through your mouth, Rocky have her lay down and hold the ice on her nose and forehead.  If she goes to sleep let her, come get me if the pain gets worse or the bandage breaks” she said. “Okay” I said. I picked her up and carried her upstairs. “Where are we going” she asked. “My room” I said. “But the movie” she said yawning again. “I think you need some sleep princess” I said walking into my room.  Her eyes were closed now and I could tell she was starting to doze off. I laid her on my bed and pulled the covers over her. I climbed in next to her and let her curl up into me before holding the ice pack to her face.  “Night Rocky” she said. “Night princess” I said.  Soon enough I felt her fall asleep.  There was a knock on the door. “Yea” I whispered. “Hey” Ross said walking in. “How is she” he asked. “Could be better” I said. “Is it broken” he asked. “No thank god, mom says it will probably be black and blue in the morning, it wont stop bleeding, and she thinks she has a concussion” I said. “Dude I am so sorry” he said. “Its not me you have to apologize to” I said. “I know, I just feel bad for punching your girlfriend” he said. “Its okay I guess, go get some sleep you can apologize when she wakes up, and she will probably beat the crap out of you so be ready” I said. “I guess I deserve it” he said walking out. I kissed her forehead before falling asleep myself.
