Chapter 3

Rocky's POV

"Rocky can you get that sweetie" My mom said. "Sure" I said walking to the door. I opened it and the neighbors were there but my eyes couldn't help but wander to Jayden. "Come on in" I said opening the door for them. "Thank you Rocky" Joyce said as she and her husband walked in.  "Hi Rocky" Jamie said as she walked past me. "Hi Jamie" I chuckled. "Sup man" Jason said. "Hey" I said.  Jayden walked in without saying anything. "What no hi from you" I said smirking. "Sorry, hi" she said smiling. "Hi" I said.  She kind of stood there awkwardly. "Come with me" I said walking toward the basement where the rest of the kids were. We walked down the stairs with her following me.  We walked through the door to pillows being thrown. "Sorry about them they tend to go nuts" I said. "No worries" she said. Finally everyone noticed our presence. "Oh hey Rocky, and you brought Jayden down" Riker said smirking. "Hi guys" she said. "Thank God I don't know what I would do if you were a boy there are seriously too many boys around here" Rydel said pulling her into a hug. "Jay this is our family friend Ellington but we call im Ratliff" I said pointing to Ratliff. "Hi" she said. "Question, do you like mustaches" he said. "hell yea" she laughed. He ran over and pulled her into a hug. "I like you" he said when he pulled away making us all laugh.  "Kids dinner is ready" my mom yelled from upstairs. Everyone pushed past us and sprinted up the stairs. "You would think my mom starved us" I said making Jayden laugh.  We walked up the stairs. "Jayden you can sit next to me across from Rocky" Rydel said.  She went and sat next to her and Riker winked at me as I sat down across from her.  Dinner consisted of Jaydens parents telling stories of their previous life in Maine and why they moved out here.  Some were embarrassing stories about the kids and I could see all of them turn bright red at some parts.  I have to admit even though her face was as red as a tomato Jay still looked adorable while blushing.  We finished eating and everyone helped clean up.  "Jay can I borrow you for a minute" Rydel asked "Sure" she said and followed her up the stairs to what Im guessing was Rydels room.

Jayden's POV

I followed Rydel up to her room and we went inside. "I have  a question for you" she said. "Sure whats up" I asked "Well do you like my brother" she said "What" I said "Do you like have feelings for Rocky" she said. "Umm I don't know I just met him today" I said... not a lie.  "I know but you two seem to be hitting it off and stuff so I was just curious, I wouldn't tell him if that's what your worried about" she said. "No I trust you, just that I really don't know him that well yet so Im not really sure, I mean he is attractive like really attractive, I just don't know personality wise yet" I said. "That's fair, you know what you should sleep over and then hang out with us tomorrow, we could go swimming or go to the beach or something" she said. "That actually sounds like fun" I said. "Come on lets go ask your parents" she said.  We walked downstairs and found my mom and dad talking to Stormie and Mark. "Mom dad can we ask you something" Rydel said. "Sure honey" Stormie said. "Well I was wondering if Jay could sleep over tonight and then hand out with us tomorrow, were getting along really well and I know the boys like having her around as well" she said. "Well its fine with us as long as Joyce and James are okay with it." Stormie said. I looked at my parents. "Sure why don't you go back to the house and pack a bag" my mom said. "Yey" we yelled and walked to the door. "Where are you two going" Rocky asked. "Back to my house to get my stuff" I said "Why" he asked "Because she is sleeping over and hanging out with us tomorrow duh" Rydel said and I am almost positive I saw Rocky smile a little. "Okay then" he said walking back toward the guys.  We walked to my house and I led Rydel up to my room.  "Your room is so nice" she said. "thanks" I said going to my closet and packing my clothes. "Rocky would love it" she said "What" I said "not like that" she laughed "His favorite color is green" she said "oh you had me worried there for a minute" I said making her laugh.  "Im surprised he didn't say anything to you about your shoes this morning" she said "Why would he" I asked. "Because he has the same pair and they are like his favorite ones, he never takes them off" she said. "Oh" I said going into my bathroom to get my overnight stuff and bathing suit and then we headed back to her house.  "You can put that in my room if you want" she said.  I walked up the stairs and put my bag in her room.  I was heading to the stairs when I heard a guitar playing and the snoopy person I am went to see where it was coming from.  I

I walked down the hall to see Rocky sitting on what I am guessing was his bed playing his guitar.  "You can come in you know" he said making me jump.  "Sorry I..." he cut me off. "Its fine come in" he said patting the spot on his bed next to him then going back to strumming.  "Whatcha doing" I asked once I sat down. "Whats it look like im doing" he laughed. He has a really cute laugh. "Thanks" he said. "For what" I asked "You said I had a cute laugh" he said chuckling. "Crap I said that out loud" I said getting red. "Yea" he said chuckling. "Your kinda cute when you blush" he said looking at his guitar.  "That's a really sick guitar" I said looking at his green guitar. "Thanks, my favorite color" he said. "So Ive been told" I said. He gives me a confused look. "When we were at my house Rydel said you would love my room because its green your favorite color" I explained. "ahh" he said. "probably would" he said making me smile.  "She also said we have the same shoes" I said. "haha yea I noticed that this morning, I was going to say something but I didn't want to creep you out" he said laughing. "Yea well played" I said laughing as well. "You play" he asked gesturing to his guitar. "I used to when I was little but then stopped, I don't remember why I kind of wish I didn't because I think its really cool, but I like watching people play more then playing myself" I said. "Oh" he said.  "So your staying over" he asked. "yeppers" I said. "Well this ought to be fun" he said putting his guitar away. "And why do I sense some sarcasm in that" I asked. "Because whenever someone stays over Riker always makes us watch a scary movie" he said. "Uh no me and scary movies don't go well together" I said "Why" he asked. "Lets just say I went to see Paranormal Activity with Jason one time and was so freaked out I punched the guy sitting next to me in the face and knocked him out" I said making him laugh. "I would have paid to seen that" he said "I think Jason got it on video so you just might be able to" I said. "Well if you want you can sit next to me and Ill protect you" he said. "Aww how sweet" I said in a baby voice. "I try" he said making me laugh.  We walked back downstairs to see that my family already left. "Why don't we all go get into our pajamas and watch a movie" Riker said. Everyone went to get changed and came back down a few minutes later. I walked down the stairs and Rocky and Rydel were already on the couch.  Rocky looked up and patted the seat in the middle next to him so I went and sat down between him and Rydel.  I looked over at Riker who had a smirk on his face, I wonder why.
