Chapter 16

Jayden’s POV

I just got home from the Lynch’s and to no surprise no one was home.  I went up to my room and laid down on my bed. Why did Rocky have to freak out like that?? Things were going so well and I was enjoying every minute I spent with him but I refuse to stay with a guy who thinks he can control me.  I was laying there getting caught up in my thoughts and soon enough I drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

Rocky’s POV

I don’t know what got into me.  Why did I yell at Jay, why did I try to tell her who she could hang out with? I should have trusted that she liked me and wouldn’t fall for Ross but now we aren’t even a thing and she probably hates my guts and will be spending all her time with Ross.  I lost her and nothing will be the same again.  “Whats wrong” I heard Rydel  ask from the door. “Jay” I said. “What happened” she asked. “We broke up” I said. “Why you guys were so cute together” she said. “Yea well we had a big argument ending up with me punching Ross and her running out” I said. “Why did you punch Ross” she asked. “He was flirting with her so I told her to stay away from him and she said I couldn’t control who she hung out with so I punched him and told her to choose and she chose to stay and clean up Ross instead of staying with me” I said. “Did you really think she would pick you after that” she asked.  “I guess not but I can hope” I said. “You need to apologize to her and to Ross” she said. “I know I just don’t think she wants to talk to me” I said. “Make her talk to you at least make her listen” she said. “I will” I said. I got up and walked next door and rang the bell.  After a few minutes she opened the door. “HI Jay” I said. “What” she said. “Look I really wanted to say I am sorry, I shouldn’t have told you you couldn’t talk to Ross that was wrong of me” I said. “Yea it was” she said. “And I shouldn’t have made you choose between us” I said. “Well thanks for the apology Rocky” she said. “So do you think you could give me another chance” I asked. “I would Rocky but to be honest I am kind of terrified of you right now” she said. “Why are you terrified of me” I asked surprised. “Rocky you punched Ross in the face when he didn’t even do anything and to be honest it scared the crap out of me, what if that was me” she said a tear slipping down her cheek. I reached out to give her a hug but she took a step closer. “What do you want me to do” I asked. “I just need time to wrap my head around things, Im not saying no Rocky just give me time” she said. “Okay time you want time you got” I said. “Ill see you later Rocky” she said shutting the door. I walked back home letting what she said sink in, was I that mad that she thinks I would hurt her like that.

Ross’s POV

I was texting Jay right now she told me Rocky came over and apologized for what happened and she said that she needed time to think about whether they could be together again.  Honestly I hope it’s a no because ive been thinking and I have concluded that I am in love with Jayden.  “Hey Ross” Rocky said. “Whats up” I said looking up from my phone. “I wanted to say sorry for hitting you” he said. “Thanks” I said. “Look I know it wasn’t fair of me and Im sorry I never should have thought you were hitting on my girl my brother would never do that to me” he said. “Yea well yea” I said not sure what to say. “Look if you talk to Jay can you try and convince her that I would never hurt her, she is kind of scared of me right now and I think you and Rydel would be the first people she would talk to so I would owe you one if you helped me out.” He said. “I will see what I can do” I said. “Thanks bro” he said walking out.  Was I really going to help my brother get back together with a girl I was falling for…no. I decided to go to the beach with Rydel tomorrow so I asked Jay if she wanted to come she said yea as long as Rocky wasn’t going to be there.  I was fine with not inviting him so it looked like the three of us would be hanging at the beach tomorrow together. I hope Rocky doesn’t find out.
