Chapter Twenty Two : Gwen And Ashley Captured

Akra was the first to awake and to find both Gwen and Ashley gone to which  she looked around to find John still out by the side of the road as she moved to wake him, John wake up! Akra said shaking him to which he got up with a start causing Akra to reel back. Whoa easy now it me Akra she said placing a hand on his shoulder, Ah! my damn head what happened? John said to which Akra sat by the road and lowered her head. Their gone the Templars have Gwen and Ashley she said to which John's eyes widened, What? no we have to find them John said to which Akra shook her head. Its impossible if they are even still alive they will have been held in the Kyln a heavily fortified Templar Stronghold , nobody has ever returned from there Akra said to which John grunted. Well damn it we have to try we just can't lose hope now he said to which Akra looked at John as she replied, We've lost she said to which John then threw a stone at the wall angered. Well I'm not giving up on them if you want to sit here and do nothing then be my guest but I'm going to find them somehow he said rising to his feet, to which as Akra sat down she glanced over to find Slade's journal lying on the ground. As she opened it and read through its pages she saw that Gwen had been writing down all their prior experiences,  As she read what Gwen had wrote about the death of James she couldn't help but get teary eyed. To which looking over she saw Gwen's sword lying on the ground. John? Akra said to which he glanced over at her before she continued,  You all have been through so much in such a short time and I refuse to let it end here she said picking up Gwen's sword. Now your talking so what's the plan? John asked Akra who placed Gwen's Sword over her shoulder before speaking , we're going to get to the Kyln and rescue Gwen and Ashley. Though we'll be the first to ever try so we will have to sneak in quickly and quietly she replied to which John nodded as he spoke, Sounds good so how far is the Kyln he asked to which Akra looked down the road. Not a far jog from here lets just follow the tire tracks she said before her and John started jogging,  as John spoke again tell me just a few minutes ago you were all ready to give up what changed your mind?. John asked Akra who responded Slade he  saved my life, all those years ago now I can repay it by saving his daughter and I've been thinking of you guys as my friends. She said to which John smiled before speaking  well its about time you caught up, welcome to the team he said chuckled to which Akra produced a small smile. With that John and Akra had set out to reach the Kyln and rescue Gwen and Ashley.
