Chapter Twenty Seven : Slight Malfunction

As the Millano flies through the sky Gwen and Ashley are bandaging themselves up as Ashley then takes the time to thank Gwen as she speaks softly. Umm Gwen I just wanted to say you know thanks for saving my life, I honestly felt that was the end for me that i'd rot away in that cell until you guys came. As she says this Gwen looks up from her bandages as she then replies to her. Ashley we weren't about to just leave you in there, you're family and family sticks together I'm a lot stronger then he realized and resourceful. As Gwen says this smiling Ashley then smirks at her to which Akra opens the flap as she speaks. Uh guys you may want to come up here we have a problem, that I think requires both of your attentions. As Gwen and Ashley enter the cockpit John is struggling at the controls as Ashley speaks. John what's going  on with the plane we are having too much turbulence? As he looks back at her he then places the plane on autopilot as John then replies to her. The left propeller is bent and our right wing damaged no doubt from our rough escape , piece of junk hmm I'll have to set her down in the water so I can make some repairs. As Ashley nods John takes the plane off autopilot as he gently lowers the Millano further and further down, until the plane's skids make contact aginst the water with some added rough bumps. As the plane finally stops John then curses as he gets out to make the necessary repairs, meanwhile Gwen starts to relax to which as she does she feels something in her pocket. Reaching into it she finds a strange item to which after carefully examining it she finds its the last Templar key as Ashley speaks shocked. Its the last Templar key! Gwen where did you ever find it? she said to which Gwen just as equally surprised replies. I don't know I must have grabbed it off Soto somehow, while he was throwing me around I did remember grabbing something off of him but this is it the last key!. As John is still trying to fix the plane Akra then looks at Gwen who is still examining the key as she then speaks. We now have all the keys so what does that mean?, that we are closer to finding Slade? they do look like they are meant to be combined  like a puzzle try putting them together. As Akra suggests this Gwen and Ashley then piece together the keys slowly to which they form a small map, at the same time John renters the plane and speaks as he sees the key. Well I be damned its a map after all huh? wait a minute I think I know where that is, yeah of course I do I think its somewhere near Russia ah Slade to sly bastard. As John says this slapping his knee and smirking Akra then moves herself to the front, to speak to Ashley who is looking at the map intrigued at the revelation. How are your connection's down there Ashley?, you think anyone would help us? maybe some former members of your Order perhaps? Though as Ashley moves her blonde hair out of her face she sighs and shakes her head before she speaks. Hmm its unlikely the Assassins haven't had connections in Russia in a long time, not since the accords were signed that is but that's basically past history she says to which John replies. Well we'll just have to see now won't we? the plane is as fixed as she will be, as in she'll still fly at a limp we'll have to fix it more when we head to Russia he says before returning to the cockpit. As Ashley climbs back into the co pilots chair next to him, he switches on the ignition to which the plane's engines roar to life after a few spurts. As the Millano's propellers then start spinning, Akra then straps herself in alongside Gwen before she speaks. Gwen its been awhile do you really think he is still alive? I mean don't get me wrong I know he is strong, according to what we dug up about him back at base and what i've personally seen but things aren't  exactly the same a lot has happened. As the plane climbs higher in the sky, Gwen then looks out the window as she sighs and looks at the journal before she  replies. I know that my dad is alive I can feel it in my heart I just want to find him and bring him home, me and mom miss him so much and the Assassins need him the world needs his guidance he can set things right. As Akra nods her head Gwen looks at the keys as she then speaks to herself. Don't worry dad we are coming, I am coming  we'll find you wherever you are I promise I will being you home. With that Gwen had decided that she should get some sleep grinning with the hope, that they were all the more closer to finding Slade with the keys now in their possession.
