Day 1

What's happening

Maxi's pov

My brother was undergoing the third of six planned operations to the brain. For saving him.
"Oh Quinno why him? Why Sole?" said I crying. "Do not worry... They will be fine. Jesse is strong Maxi, you know it. Sole is maybe stronger than what we think."
"Who is with her now?"
"Deano and Gonzo. Go and see 'em?"
"Yeah, why not?"
We were going to the room. 'Quinn what is the condition of Jesse now?'
'He is still undergoing surgery. Do not worry, I know the doctor who is operating him is one of the best. I am also scared. Do not feel ashamed if you cry because sadness is just another emotion. If you want me to cry with you then I will.'
'Do you know that what Quinno said is just right?' said Gonzo.
'Come here...' Deano already had his arms open.
'Yeah, mate I'm just... I want Jesse to be ok. I'd volunteer to give him my internal organs if that could save him!'

Day 2

The idea

Matt Dee's pov

3 full days have passed since Jesse and Sole were victims of all this. The story was making headlines. Everywhere. Now I'm here watching Sole. Hoping that she wakes up. Maxi wanted to see Jesse along with Jesse's mom and dad, at the moment probably they were all trying to talk to him... If nurses weren't next to his bed.
'Honey? Can you hear me?' whispered I next to her bed. But still, nothing.

A nurse came in. I looked at her as if hours never passed. It really looked like hours never passed. My mind went off thinking about Bondi. Who knows what other lifeguards were seeing down there? At least time for them was running. I looked at my watch, nearly dazed. It said it was 13.00! I needed some lunch, so I just left Sole's bedside heading for the coffee machine. I really did need some coffee. I ate some Mars bars, that was enough for the day.

I found Whippet by the coffe machine. 'Hey Whip, how is it going?'
'As bad as yesterday. Maxi cries himself to sleep, he just loves Jesse and has a fear of losing him. I gave Maxi something to eat before he forgets it.'
That made me laugh, a little.
'He feels as everybody feels.'
Beep-beep my phone rang in my pocket.
'Who is it? Is Jesse right??' asked Whip in a panic.
'Relax mate... It's only Harries. Here'

Mate, me and Reidy had an idea. To organise a fun run from Bondi to Maroubra with a paddling back from Maroubra to Bondi for everyone to attend. Anybody who wants to come must pay 10 dollars. For raising funds for Jesse and Sole. What do you think? The race is in 2 days. Answer asap.'

'This sounds good! I like the idea... May attend the race with Maxi for preventing him to fall in apathy. You stay here with Quinno monitoring Sole and Jess. Ok?'
'This sounds cool!! Good plan!' said I.

Quinno was returning from Jesse's room. He had quite a tired face. "Ok Whip, there you go! Do a good job with Maxi..."
"Sure will do!"
