~~Kameryn~~
"Who the fuck am I suppose to be looking for?" I asked out loud as I wandered around the airport.
This day has been the first time in my life that I have ever been to an airport or on an airplane. I used to always tell myself that I would never get on one of those things, but shit happens. It wasn't really all that bad anyway.
As I walked aimlessly through the crowd of people, I noticed some white guy dressed in a black suit standing near the door with a sign in his hand. It simply had one word on it: Kameryn.
I looked both ways before proceeding over to the man.
"Kameryn Calhoun?"
"Umm... yeah. I thought shit like this only happened in movies and shit. Damn."
His bushy gray eyebrow raised up as he moved his shades from his eyes. The way he looked at me was no surprise. This muthafucka seem all 'uppidy' and shit, so my attire is probably inappropriate in his opinion. I couldn't give a fuck about his opinion on. I have on a black crop top, baggy blue jeans, and red, black, and gray Jordans. I feel comfortable and I like it, so that's all that really matters.
"Such a pretty girl," He fixed his shades back on his wrinkled, prune looking face, "Such vulgar language. Well Miss Kameryn. I will be escorting you to your mother's place of residence. Your luggage, please."
I chose to ignore his dumb comment.
He took both of the bags in my hands.
"Damn Kathleen really don't wanna be bothered with my ass, huh? She couldn't even come get me her damn self. Shit, I feel special as fuck."
"Miss Kameryn. Please don't take this the wrong way. Mrs.Crawford had to finish preparing your bedroom. Her and the rest of the family will be more than intrigued to meet you. Now if you will follow me."
I followed him to one of those black town cars. He put one of my bags down so he could open the back door for me.
When I got in he shut the door. I took my bag off my back then pulled out my phone and headphones. I just have a weird feeling that this will be a long aas ride, so I may as well listen to some music.
The man, whose name I don't even damn know, got in the driver's seat then drove off.
I picked a song I wanted to listen to then I checked my messages and things.
Gigi: heyy gurl juss checkin' on ya :( ii miss you so much alrdy.
Me: IMU 2! Im OMW to my mother's house. Im good..
Vince: hope you have a good flight kam
Me: I did. I just landed in San Diego. Miss you :(
Tristan: Bae I miss you already. I didn't mean what I said. I want to make this long distance relationship work, I love you.
This boy needs to muthafuckin' stop.
I skipped over his messages then continued answering other messages.
Tristan was my boyfriend. For the first fourteen years of my life, I barely had any friends, and that's because of my daddy. We couldn't stay put in one location, we never had a set place that we lived. With him being a notorious 'Drug Lord', that was no surprise. But anyway, for over two years we had settled in Georgia, away from all the bullshit. That was when he decided he wanted out of the game. That was when I started making 'friends' and meeting a couple of cool people. I finally felt like I had a normal teenage life.
Don't know why the fuck I thought I could have a normal, average teenage life.
About two months ago, my father was gunned down right in front of my face. I try my best not to think about it, but it's still fresh on my mind. The pain is fresh. I vividly remember it like it was yesterday.
