Cameron looked out the window of the liquor store to confirm his suspicions. He felt like he'd been followed, he just wasn't sure.
"Excuse me sir? Do you need help finding anything?"
Cameron was kinda surprised that the man asked him that. Not that it's a good thing, but he would go to that liquor store like every other day if not ever single day. The store wasn't that big, he knew where everything was.
"Nah I think I'm gonna pass on that today."
For some reason he didn't really have much fear in his heart even though he knew what was probably happen. Since the car followed him, they clearly knew what he was driving. With his daughter in his SUV, he couldn't risk them ambushing the SUV. They came for him and nobody else. He knew he should've told Kameryn to stay at home, but he didn't want to make her even more depressed. She'd know what to do when something happens though. Sadly and shamefully, this wouldn't have been the first time where she was put in a dangerous situation like this.
He took a deep breath then walked towards the door. The man in front of him held the door for him.
"Thanks man."
He followed the guy out the door. He chose to not walk in the direction of the SUV because he didn't want any type of attention on his daughter.
Within seconds, as suspected,Cameron hit the ground with excruciating pain shooting through his body. Almost at the same time, the man who'd held the door for him fell next to him. The man's eyes didn't blink or move. Cameron shut his eyes, letting his feeling of guilt overpower his agony. He couldn't take looking at the man. Because of him, an innocent bystander doesn't get to go home to his family. The man could've had a wife, kids. Somebody that would seriously miss him.
After what seemed like forever, he was turned over.
"Sir! Sir! Can you hear the sound of my voice?! Blink or anything sir."
His eyes slightly widened. It felt as though everything was slowing down and he felt like he was seeing double.
"He's responsive! Hurry up now!"
"My.... My... My daughter..."
He tried his best to ask about Kameryn, but he could barely focus at the moment.
The paramedics got him up on a stretcher and into an ambulance.
They didn't even halfway make it to the hospital before he passed out, initially causing him to slip into a coma.
Words cannot explain how I feel right now, simply because I have so many emotions and feelings going on all at once!
I'm completely exhausted from the long, restless flight I just got off of less than an hour ago. The forty minute drive from the airport to here didn't help my exhaustion either. Of course I couldn't get any rest on the plane though. I don't feel comfortable sleeping around a bunch of strangers. I was also too anxiously anticipating the moment my dad and I can be reunited.
Lord knows I've been through so many emotions when it comes to my dad. I can't fucking believe it. I don't really know if betrayed is the right word to explain how I feel, but I am all up in my muthafuckin' feelings about this situation. My grandma knew all about my dad this whole fucking time but she chose to lie to me! What kind of sick, twisted shit is that?! She knows how much I love my dad, and she knows how much I valued him, but she still chose to keep this huge ass secret from me? She chose to let me grieve and I didn't have nothing to grieve about? Where in the fuck do they do that type of shit at?! That's just foul as fuck!
