Kaitlyn pulled out a bunch of high tech equipment. First, Kaitlyn checked Alex's heart rate. Then she attached wires to Alex's arms and legs. Kaitlyn was checking Alex's vitals. Alex couldn't tell what else she was doing. The fancy gear kinda creeped her out. Kaitlyn then had a conversation with Barry in a different room. Alex could still hear them. "She definitely has the speed force, her heart rate and vitals are very similar, if not the same, to a speedster's." Kaitlyn told Barry. "So she is a speedster?" Barry asked. "Yes," Kaitlyn responded. What!? I'm a speedster. No way. That's insane. Kaitlyn and Barry entered the room Alex was sitting in. Barry tossed Alex her bag and Alex caught it. I'm leaving then. You got what you wanted. "Wait! Has anything weird happened recently?" Kaitlyn asked oddly.
"No," Alex answered. Alex walked out of S.T.A.R. Labs and headed home. She didn't know what to think. She didn't know if speed would make her life easier or worse. She'd have to keep secrets from her family, friends, and even Nick. She wondered if she would even be a good speedster. You can fail at being a speedster, right? Alex was convinced she would. Then again, if she could do everything in a matter of seconds that'd make her life easier. Her homework would be done in seconds. Soon, she decided that it couldn't be true. I was struck by lightning, and that is the only abnormal thing about me.
Alex had finally made it home and she was starving. Her stomach screamed for food as she opened the kitchen cupboard. Alex made herself some French toast. She still remembered how her dad made it. Her dad was killed when she was only seven. Alex saw a madman with fire coming from his fingertips burn him to death. A different man, who had been accused of setting him on fire with a lighter, was arrested. Alex had still felt bad for the man. He was wrongly accused and is still in jail. When Alex was finished with her toast, she got herself a glass of water and sat down. She went to pick up her toast, but instead she accidentally knocked down her water. When the cup fell off the table, it seemed as if it had slowed down. That cup slowed down before it fell. Is that even possible? No, this is just my mind playing games with me. Suddenly, Alex's legs got out of control. She sprinted at speeds only a speedster could manage. I am a speedster! She could feel the electricity running through her veins. Alex finished her French toast with the thought of being a speedster in her mind. Now there was one more speedster in Central City.
