Alex ran back to S.T.A.R. Labs. "Congratulations on your first win!" Barry said. "Thanks," Alex replied. She changed back in to her regular clothes in a different room. When she was done, Kaitlyn came running in. "We should wrap your arm," she told Alex.
Kaitlyn pointed to a hospital like bed. Alex walked over to it and sat down on the bed. Kaitlyn wrapped her arm in some tape-like cloth. When Kaitlyn was done, Alex checked her phone. She gasped when she saw the 11 missed calls from Mary. Alex had totally forgotten about the football game. She dialed Mary's number, and Mary picked after the first ring. "Hey! Where were you?" Mary asked, clearly annoyed of Alex's absence. "I...uhh...was at physical therapy." Alex lied. She sounded unsure when she said the lie.
"I can tell you're lying," Mary said. Alex sighed.
"I was! Plus I had to do all of my missed work." Alex lied. I still have to do the missed work, but it won't take that long, Alex thought. She smiled. Maybe my life is getting a little easier.
"Why won't you tell me what's going on?" Mary questioned.
"I have to go," Alex told Mary,"Bye." I hate leaving her in the dark, but it's best for her safety. I'm more concerned about her safety than anything else. Alex ran home before she could screw anything else up. Better do all that missed work. Alex pulled out all of her work and did it. It only took a couple of minutes, since she used her speed, of course. I'm starving. Alex went to the kitchen. There was pizza sitting on the table, 2 whole boxes. Yum! Alex sat down with a plate and started eating. After her 12th piece, she was not only full, but also tired. She changed into her pajamas and got into bed. Great, both Nick and Mary will be suspicious.
