Alex's eyes fluttered open when the thought of a new day came into her dream. Alex turned off her alarm, seen as she wouldn't need it. Alex was already awake. She made a quick breakfast, slipped on a white t-shirt, a leather jacket, and leggings. Alex brushed her teeth and straightened her hair right after. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and walked to her bust stop. All Alex could think about was having to lie to Mary. First, I ditched her. Then, I lied to her. God, I am a terrible friend! The bus reached the school, and Alex got out. She saw Mary and ran towards her. "Hey," she said. "Hey," Mary replied. Mary gave Alex a glare that showed only Mary's suspicion. "Don't act all suspicious, I was just at therapy." Alex lied, again. She spoke weakly. Lying to her friend took all of her strength. "You're lying, and I can tell. Nick and I will get to the bottom of what's going on with you!" Mary told Alex. "So now you tell Nick everything," Alex pointed out. "Y'know, I'm not the only one who noticed you acting strange. Nick noticed, too. So we will get to the bottom of this, together," Mary argued. She clearly emphasized together to make Alex jealous. It didn't work. I don't care whether they work together to try to figure out what's going on. They'll never find out, and that matters most. Plus, Mary doesn't like Nick, so they will not even date as they try to investigate. Alex walked away. Once more, avoiding an argument. At least they will never find out what's going on.
