"Hello, Streak!" He said. Alex turned around to see a man with fire blazing at his fingertips. He was bald, and had a nasty smile. His skin was tan. He wore sunglasses and a leather jacket matched with leather pants. His outfit seemed unaffordable. Hanging from his neck was a gold chain with a charm shaped like a flame. Even though this man was wearing sunglasses, Alex recognized him from her most painful memory. She inhaled. "You!" Alex screamed. The man smiled and laughed. "You recognize me. That doesn't surprise me. For the burn marks I put on your father, which are probably still there, were as visible as the color red. I don't believe you know my name. I am Fire, the flame of your past, present, and future." He said. Alex did the thing she thought of first. She ran up to him and slapped him in his face. He reacted immediately. As soon as she slapped him, he took his right hand, which was on fire, and grabbed her left arm. It burned like a match when it touches skin. The arm of the suit turned black. Alex pulled back her arm and took a couple steps back. "My father didn't die for nothing!" She yelled. It wasn't the most ferocious battle cry, but it was true. She ran at him and kicked him in his side. "You're right, your father did not die for noting. He died for me to be able to put you in the pain that would make your fall possible." Fire told her. Alex kicked him again but this time in his gut. "Oh, I think its time we pull out the hostage!" Fire said violently. He unlocked the door to a room behind him. Fire brought out a guy with similar height to Alex. His had green eyes and brown hair. "Nick!" She cried. "Help, please." He said, which seemed as much as he could manage. HIs hands were tied behind his back and his feet were tied together. "I see you two already know each other," He pointed out,"You should really do your job of saving people. You see, if you don't let me kill you, I will kill poor Nicholas James Skile. His life for yours."
Alex looked around . I need a distraction. If those boxes behind him fell, that'd be loud enough. Alex ran and pushed over the bottom box, making the rest fall. Fire turned around, as Alex grabbed Nick and ran to a dark alley. "Thanks," Nick said.
"Of course," Alex replied.
She untied his hands and feet. Alex set him against the wall.
There was a slight problem.

Nick fell directly through it.
