Alex turned around, instinctively. She heard Nick whisper to Mary, "Did she tell you anything?"
"No," Mary replied.
"I can hear you," Alex said.
The two just glared at her. Alex strode away. They're treating me like I'm so criminal! They shouldn't be! Everybody has secrets, after all. Alex could feel Nick's gaze on her. She heard his light footsteps. He was clearly following her. Alex just walked faster. I don't need a third stalker! She could hear his footsteps even more now. Nick was trying to trail Alex. He has to be following me for some reason! "What?" Alex asked.
"I should be the one asking 'what'?" Nick answered.
"You make a fair point," Alex said,"but I don't have to tell you or Mary everything."
"Fair point," Nick told her,"but you shouldn't keep secrets from Mary. You wouldn't even keep her in the dark if you cared about her."
"If you knew what I was hiding, you'd realize that I do care about her,"Alex pointed out. In reply, Nick gave Alex a cold glare. Great! Now the guy I like thinks I don't care for my friend! All because I have to keep a secret. Alex walked away. Talking to Nick won't make this any better. Nick followed her. Alex looked up. No security cameras. Alex looked around. No one in the hallways, except for Nick and me. Alex turned a corner and super-sped away from Nick and to her locker. Now I can continue my day without having to worry about my third stalker.
