Lilly, Issac and the rest of the band were currently all in detention, cleaning the strange ornaments and instrument collection Mrs Katawski, the performing arts teacher kept in her room. The story of how they all got detention was pretty boring and insignificant, they just accidentally set fire to the school flag whilst Stella was smoking. so, y'know, not anything serious.

"well, since we are in here together, band practise?" Charlie questioned, smiling at all of them as he sat down behind the convenient drum kit. Lilly walked over to the microphone. took places behind various instruments as Mo did a random riff on her guitar, reminding Lilly of a song she had written a few months back.

'Sunday driving always felt so lonesome
It never rains here, it's dead anyways
And I can't stand the thought of rotting right here
So maybe driving keeps you safe

Are you tired of waiting for some air to breathe?
Or are
you tired of me?
Are you tired of waiting or are you tired of me?
Baby set me free

D'you got a car, d'you got a set of keys?
Tell me where you're going, is there room for me?
If you've got a heart, if you got an empty seat
Take me driving bloody somewhere, set me free
D'you got a car?

My bedroom walls are feeling more like prison
For shallow sleep and bloodshot eyes
Someone save me from these sad, sad poems
Let's run away on up I-5

Are you tired of waiting on some air to breathe?
Or are you tired of me?
Are you tired of waiting or are you tired of me?
Come on set me free

D'you
got a car, d'you got a set of keys?
Tell me where you're going, is there room for me?
If you've got a heart, if you got an empty seat
Take me driving bloody somewhere, set me free

Webster, Broadway, Oakland save me
Lift this curse of being seventeen
Gilman, smokehouse, foxhole smoked out
Anywhere is fine, if we run free

D'you got a car, d'you got a set of keys?
Tell me where you're going, is there room for me?

D'you got a car, d'you got a set of keys?
Tell me where you're going, is there room for me
If you've got a heart, if you got an empty seat
Take me driving bloody murder, set me free

D'you got a car, d'you got a set of keys?!
Tell me where you're going, is there room for me?!
If you've got a heart, if you got an empty seat
Take me driving bloody somewhere, set me free
D'you got a car? '

the band all played out, with Olivia jumping around to the music, dancing with the skeleton whilst putting costumes on the others. Lilly was currently wearing a princess crown and Dracula cape, which she definitely didn't consider wearing to next period. "Lilly, that song was fucking awesome, who's it by?' Charlie questioned, setting his drumsticks down as they all turned to look at her. fuck. "Um-mm, it's by me. i wrote it myself" she replied, blushing and looking down as they all stared at her in awe. "well" said Stella, who was clearly final word in the band, " i think we just found our song for the Halloween dance" she said, smirking at all of them as the final bell rang, pulling them all out of the music bubble they had created with a thud of reality.

They all sighed in union, and Lilly and Issac then accidentally groaned in sync."Ughhhhhhhh"  as they put down the instruments, took off the crazy outfits, and walked back to their desks to get their bags. Now the last two in the room,  Issac passed Lilly her messenger bag, and felt his hand linger a little too long over her's. He gave her the smile that he seemed to reserve for her, his large dimple in his cheek he waited for her to join him by the door. "Issac, you deserve someone better than me." Lilly said, sadly smiling at him before walking out the room, leaving a sad, confused Issac standing alone. "But, there's no-one that better than you, Lilly" Issac whispered to himself, not having the courage to shout it after her as she left.

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed this chapter. the song within the chapter, as you may have guessed is obviously not an original, and it's really by a band called SWMRS. I've left a video in the top so maybe give it a listen x
