“Lea, plane tickets for two now ready.” Dawn walked up to her together with Vice who was unusuaaly quiet. “Okay ka lang Vice?” he looked at her and sighed

“Are you really sure about this? Are you really sure about running away?” lea smiled faintly.

“I need to do this.”

“Tinatakbuhan mo lang yung problema mo, Lea eh.” She looked at Vice and laughed bitterly, shook her head and sat on her swivel chair. “This is the best, only solution to my problem.”

Lea is staring at the starry sky sipping champagne when Aga’s words echoed in her head

We both have our green cards. Let’s be in the US, let’s be us. Let’s live our lives there, Lea. I’ll file my petition for my legal separation with Lauren, just, just promise you’ll be with me.

“You’re right.” Lea stated firmly. She looked at Aga in the eyes and drew a deep breathe. “Tama na, we both don’t deserve this kind of toxic relationship. Tama na ang pagpapakatangang mahalin ka because your child, yours and Lauren’s, he deserve better. He deserves all the good things more than I do and that’s all that matters now.”

“But I love you.” He moved closer, held her hand and caressed her cheek. She bit her lower lip then looked down. “I love you too.”

“Then stay with me, Lea, babes.” He made her look at him in the eye. “Would you?” she stared at him and sighed. Aga pulled her closer, kissed her on her forehead and hugged her.

“Where’s Aga?” Lauren asked as she woke up still with her voice so weak. She’s still in the hospital recovering, condition being monitored. Her pregnancy is at high risk.

“Wag po muna kayo masyado gumalaw, ma’am.” The nurse reminded her while taking notes of her vital stats. “Kukuhanan ko lang po kayo ng BP tapos inom na po kayo ng vitamins n’yo.”

“Wala ba akong bantay? Yung asawa ko, nasaan?”

“Meron po, ma’am pero si sir Aga po, umuwi daw po muna para kumuha ng gamit. Yung kaibigan n’yo po, yung nagsugod po a inyo ditto sa ospital, s’ya po yung nagbabantay sa inyo ngayon.
