Lea woke up to a terrible headache. She sat up and sighed. Last night was stressful for the both of them and so she didn’t wonder why she woke up like this.

After Aga dropped that bomb of a question to her, she couldn’t help but shed tears and she couldn’t stop herself and all that Aga could do is to comfort her until she fell asleep on his arms crying.

What could be more devastating than to hear those words from the very person you’d die to be with? She made mistakes and yes, she regrets them. But to hear those from him? It was heartbreaking.

She heaves another deep breath and decided to get up and fix herself. Hindi Gawain ng isang Lea Salonga ang magmukmok sa kwarto. She washed her face and saw the aftermath of what Lauren did. There were bruises on the side of her lips and eyes then she looked at her hands.

“You’ll heal soon.” She whispered. Little did she knows, she not just referring to her wounded hands.

----

“You’re up early.” She almost whispered as she watched Aga cooked breakfast.

“Umupo ka na. I’m almost done.” There’s this coldness on his voice that she suddenly wished she had not woke up, that she just wants to go back to her bed and rest.

“What are you still waiting for? Hindi lalapit ang lamesa’t upuan sa’yo.” He didn’t even have to turn around to face her to know that she didn’t do what he told her to do.

“I’m not yet hungry. I’m full.” He turned now and squinted his eyes on her.

“Really? Paano ka nabusog? Kumain ka sa panaginip mo?” she wanted to tell him how a total jerk he is but a part of her says no.

“Umupo ka.” She was then left with no choice but to eat with him awkwardly.

---

“Stay here. I’ll go get you some grocer—“

“Wag na.” she refused and swallowed a lump on her throat. He looks so serious and it’s frightening her.

“I already sent a message to my secretary. She’s on her way with the stocks I need.” She managed to say those while looking at her feet avoiding eye contact.

“Nang-abala ka pa.” he replied shortly. “Uuwi na lang ako. I nee—“

“Wag.” She gulped and looked at him. “Stay, Aga. Please.”

---

“Hindi pa daw ba uuwi si Rob?” he asked not looking at her. He seemed bored.

“You can rest if you want. Kung pagod ka na pwe—“

“You’re not answering my question.” He took the television’s remote and changed the channel even if he is completely aware that she likes the series awhile back. He didn’t mind.

“Aga kausapin mo naman ako ng maayos oh.” He finally looked at her and she stared back.

“Minahal kita.” She uttered trying to stop the tears from falling. She has been strong for years that a night isn’t enough to take away all the tears she has kept from falling. “Minahal kita pero ka—“

“Minahal -- Past tense. Pero – conditional. Why can’t you just love me as you do? Walang pero, walang kasi.” She looked away, guilt all over her face.

“I needed to do that for Lauren.” She heard him sigh, she could feel how disappointed he is.

“Eh, ako? Naisip mo man lang ba paano ako, Lea? if you really loved me, you’d do the things that you know would make me happy and that is being with you. Pero ini—“
