Put that smile on! I love you, babes! Aga sent her a voice clip which, for two hours now, she has been listening to.

“Para kang timang.” Dawn, her fashionista friend, told her as she handed her the coffee she asked for her to buy. “Kung makangiti ka d’yan, 16 ka te? 16 ka!?” she glared at her and threw her the pen she was handling.

“I asked you to be here because I need your help. Di ko sinabing pagtripan mo ako!”

“I’m not!” dawn protested and sat beside her on her couch inside her office.”I was just stating some facts.”she rolled her eyes on Lea and snatched her phone.

Put that smile on! I love you, babes! As soon as Dawn heard the voice clip, her face turned to a poker one and she pretended like she was about to puke. “P*ta! Ang tamis! Nakakaumay!” Lea frowned at her and was about to get her phone when Dawn moved away and browsed further.

“Wow! Nahiya naman ako. Lahat talaga ng folders may security feature? Halatang may tinatago ka bakla!” Lea rolled her eyes but was caught off-guard when Dawn threw her phone on her.

“Landi mo!” she glared at her friend.

“Nagmamahal lang ako!”

Lea is in her table in the faculty room checking some papers of her students. She was waiting for Aga for it has been days since he last texted her. She sighed.

Baka nagsisisi na s’ya.

She continued her paperwork but she felt like doing nothing she wants to go home and be alone.

Ugh! Aga! Ganon na lang yon?! BIgla ka na lang di magpaparamdam?! Bigla mo na lang akong ii—

Her phone buzzed. Funny – few moments ago she was about to curse Aga, now that her phone buzzed, she felt excited wishing it was him who messaged her. She opened her phone only to get disappointed to see an unregistered number. She sighed. She read the message still and that made her frowned.

Really? Tatlong araw kang di nagpaparamdam, ganayn yung tanong mo?

“Are you at school?”

“Who’s this?” Message sent.

“It’s Aga. Where are you?”

“Why do you care?” Message sent.

“Where are you?”

She didn’t bother text him back. She heaves another deep breath. She started thinking. Does she deserve this kind of treatment?

This is so unfair! Yes, I agreed to be his other woman, but does that mean that I also agreed to be treated less of a person, of a woman? Does that mean I agreed to be treated like I’m not worth anything? Nagmahal lang naman ako.

She is still in deep thoughts when she got to her unit.

Should I stop? Paano? How can I stop this? How can I stop loving you, Aga?

There’s another sigh. She’s in front of her door now. She thought of going out. Drinking would be a great help to forget this mess for a while. She checked her phone and was about to message her friends but there’s a new message from the number Aga used awhile back.

”Babes, where are you? I need your help.”

She smiled bitterly. She shook her head. He needs my help. Upon opening her door, she was stunned by the scent all over her unit. A familiar song played. How deep is your love -- If she’s not mistaken, it’s the version of the Glee cast. She smiled.

She looked around only to find rose petals scattered on the floor, balloons with curly tail ends on the ceiling, and small candles lit making a pathway towards the table where there’s a candlelit dinner prepared. Her heart sank in joy and the feeling of love.

Someone walked from behind her to cover her eyes but since she is wearing her eyeglasses, he wasn’t successful on covering them. She then turns around to face him. As soon as she saw Aga’s face, her tears fell. She missed him more than she could ever say.

“Hey..” he reached for her and wiped her tears. “What’s wrong? Di mo ba nagustuhan? Pasensya na ngayon lang ako nakapunta sa’yo.”

“You inconsiderate jerk!” she hissed.

“I’m sorry.” He hugged her and kissed her temple. “Nag-away kasi kami. Sinira n’ya yung phone ko.”

“Tatlong araw bago ka makakuha ng bago?!” She pinched his side, he winced in pain.

“I’m sorry love. I have to be careful. Baka kasi kapag nagtuloy-tuloy pagdududa n’ya, ikaw na yung sugurin n’ya.”

She fell silent. She remembered what happened in the parking lot few hours ago.

“Lei, are you okay?” she managed a slight smile and a nod as an answer. Aga assisted her on her seat but Lauren’s words came echoing on her mind.

Are you two having an affair?

Alam kong nilalandi mo yung asawa ko, Lea.

Stop it. Stop it or I’ll file a concubinage case against the both of you.

“Babes? Hey..” Aga moved towards her and held her hand. “Di mo ba  nagustuhan yung surprise ko? Kanina pa ako nagsasalita ditto pero tulala ka lang…”

“I like it! I love it actually.” She smiled and held her cheek. She then placed a soft kiss on Aga’s lips. “Thank you..” he smiled.

“Bakit ka natutulala?”

“Si Lauren kasi.. she talked to me kanina..” she looked straight to his eyes and he didn’t look away like how she expected him to react.

“Threatened you of concubinage?” she nodded, he smiled and caressed her cheek. “Don’t worry about that. She won’t do it.”

She remembered one thing she needs to tell Aga.

Concubinage?! Ha! You won’t want to file that one against me. Una, dahil wala akong ginagawang masama. At pangalawa, hinding-hindi ka mananalo dahil alam ko yung baho mo!

She needs to tell Aga about Lauren’s secret. She needs to tell Aga that –

“Don’t worry about her my dear professor.” She saw a smirk on Aga’s face and she doesn’t like it.

“What are you up to now? Why’d you text me that you want to treat me as your homework?”

“Prof?” Aga held her waist and pulled her closer to whisper on her ear. “I want to treat you like my homework. I’ll slam you on the table and work on you all night long.” She blushed instantly and hit Aga’s arm hard. “Siraulo ka!”

“I love you..” Aga pulled her and kissed her forehead. “And my true homework is to protect you, all day and all night, against all odds.”
