"Kara!" My name infected the air. I quickly searched for the person who had screamed my name. Down the street, I noticed Alex, Maggie, and Mon-El charging toward me. I didn't get notified that there was trouble so I really had no clue what was going on. That doesn't mean they didn't worry me. I stayed put and waited for them to catch up to me.

"Kara, oh my god, we have to move!" Mon-El half yelled, gathering the attention of everyone else who wasn't already staring at me. Everyone, including Lena Luthor. My friends and sister seemed panicked. Well, except for Maggie. This caused me to worry less. If something major was happening, Maggie wouldn't be so chill right now. Alex grabbed my hand and tugged me forward, causing me to almost drop Ms. Grants coffee.

"What's going on, you guys?" I grunted. Maggie shrugged, not seeming to care. I don't know if this put me more at ease or if it gave me more stress. Mon-El and Alex were wigging out, but over nothing too serious...

"No questions, we have to go." Alex huffed, tugging harder on my hand. From behind my sister and friends, like a whisper, was rapid feet. Someone was running towards us. Quickly, I gathered everyone behind me. It's too early for this, Ms. Grant is going to kill me.

"I got them! You guys were taking too long!" Winn came charging. He was running with two huge plastic bags. Whatever he was holding, smelt...yummy? He was closer when he somehow managed to trip and knock right into me.

"Winn!" was all I managed to yell as Ms. Grant's coffee went flying.

"I got them! I got them!" Mon-El yelped in excitement. I opened my eyes to see Maggie helping Winn up and Alex, attempting to give me a hand as well. As she pulled me up, I looked around the block we were on. People were staring, and I could feel the heat rising in me. I was so embarrassed.

Hot coffee was split all over me, and everyone was just glaring at me. I was analyzing my outfit when it finally clicked with me...hot coffee! 'Act in pain,' I shouted to myself. People were watching; there was an audience, and I needed to play the part of a human. I needed to play the part of Kara Danvers. So, with that, I grunted and tugged on my clothes to keep the moist mess away from my pale skin.

"You guys! Oh gosh, ouch!" I hissed in fake agony. Alex gladly caught on and turned to Winn, trying to tear his shirt off.

"Hey, hey!" Winn protested. Maggie covered her mouth, trying to mask her laughter. As for Mon-El, he didn't catch on.

"Wait, Kara doesn't -" he was cut off by Maggie, who stomped on his foot as hard as she could. Mon-El may be a decent height, but too many things just go over his head.

"Shove it!" she growled. Mon-El did not expect it, and so he jumped back and squealed in pain.

"Ow! What gives!" he asked in anger and confusion. Maggie was taken back, surprised that she hurt him.

"Wait, that actually hurt?" Maggie asked with a sly grin. Moving from Maggie and Mon-El, Winn was still fighting Alex on stealing his shirt, but eventually, she won.

"Kara, your shirt," Alex asked with a hint of shy innocence. I couldn't believe she was asking for me to take my top off in front of all these people. Would a human do this?

"Alex, no, it's fine. Really." She's a hard one to convince, and with the look she was giving me, I knew I wasn't going to win. "Alex...I can't." I pleaded.

"How about a compromise?" A voice from behind Mon-El asked. I turned my attention to that of an angelic voice, and it turned out to be Lena Luthor. Alex stepped forward in a protective manner.

"Yes! A compromise, please." I begged while wincing in 'pain'. Without even giving Alex a chance to speak, I turned to Lena and grabbed her hands cheering with joy. "Gosh, thank you so much, Lena!" I was so relieved to be able to change privately in her office. I assumed that was what she meant by a compromise...

"Anytime, Kara. I saw how uncomfortable you were with the idea of changing in front of all these people." I don't know how much she saw, but I'm grateful she was watching. Even though it all was embarrassing.

As a group, we all headed towards L Corp, which was oddly enough close by. The walk was quick and silent. Alex and Maggie were beside each other, and Winn was behind Lena and me. As for Mon-El, he was right on top of me. His behavior agitates me beyond belief. After a brief walk, we finally made it. Maggie and Mon-El remained in the lobby while Winn, Alex, Lena, and I ventured to her office.

I got changed by Lena's desk while Lena and my sister conversed near Winn. With my new large graphic t-shirt, I walk over to Alex and Lena. Before I could engage in their conversation, I remembered I had to thank Winn for his shirt. "Oh! Thank you to Winn." Winn still covering his bare body nodded towards me.

"I just don't get why Alex couldn't take Mon... I mean Mike's shirt." Winn whined. Alex turned to him, irritated.

"He was further away and had the pot-stickers." She grumbled. "Why couldn't you just wait for us at the store?" I wasn't completely involved in their conversation up until they said pot-stickers. I turn to Lena and grab her shoulders.

"Alex said pot-stickers, right?" Quickly, I noticed that grabbing her shoulders was a bit... odd. So, I let go, and an awkward giggle managed to escape past my lips. Lena, however, began to laugh.

"Yes, she said pot-stickers." Her laugh, it was so soothing. I went to say something when Lena's office door swung open.

"I tried to stop him, but he just..." The woman paused to gather her thoughts. "I couldn't stop him. I'm so sorry." The woman begged. Lena looked at Alex, Winn, and then myself.

"It's alright, Joyce. It seems as though we're having a little gathering." Joyce nodded and turned to leave but bumped into Maggie on the way out.

"Excuse me." She muttered then proceeded to walk out. Alex walked over to Maggie and hugged her.

"He wouldn't stay put, sorry," Maggie said with slight agitation. Alex let out a sigh and looked to Mon-El.

"Why couldn't you just wait downstairs, Mike?" Alex questioned. Mon-El turned to Alex, frustrated.

"Why did I have to wait downstairs!" I felt it coming, a useless argument. I gave Lena an apologetic look and walked over to Mon-El, grabbing his arm.

"Mike, you're a man-child. That's why." The room filled with soft giggles. Mon-El let out an irritated huff and took his arm back.

"Then this man-child is taking the pot-stickers that, for some reason, were insanely cheap today." He began to leave, but like a flash (not super speed fast), I grabbed the two plastic bags from him and ran over to Lena.

"You can go, but the pot-stickers stay with me!" I know I was being kind of rude, but they gave me way too much stress for the morning. They made me spill Ms. Grant's coffee and withheld pot-stickers from me. Wait, "Ms. Grant's coffee!" I dropped the bags and darted towards the door.

"Ms. Grant is going to feed me to the crows!" Before bolting through the door, I turned to Lena. "Thank you so much, Lena! Lunch is my treat next time!" Ms. Grant is going to kill me.
