Please tell me what y'all think and what you'd like to see next

We sat at our table and looked over our menus. It was silent between us. The restaurant was overcome with quiet whispers, however. Probably due to freaking Supergirl sitting across from me. The way she focused on her menu with her brows crinkled was cute. I couldn't look away from her. This was Kara in front of me but it was also Supergirl. Fun Loving, badass Kara. She must've felt me staring because she looked up at me.

"Everything okay Lena? Are the whispers annoying you? I'm sorry I should've thought it over before coming out here like this. You've been trying to lay low and here I am bringing in the attention." Kara sighed.

"No, it's not that-" I began to say but was cut off.

"I'll fix this. I'm sorry again." Kara apologized once more before standing up from her seat. "Everyone can you please go back to your meals and kindly ignore the two of us. I can hear every word you guys are saying and it's distracting me from picking out what I want to eat. Thank you." The blonde announced and then sat back down. All I could do was look at her in shock. The whispers were loud to her, was this her everyday life? I couldn't imagine my Kara doing what she just did, but I could picture Supergirl, or well, Zor-El doing it. Without looking up at me Kara said, "some girl in the back thinks we're on a date."

"A date?" I whispered. She'd never look at me in that way. She's a goddess and I'm...I need to defend myself quickly. Kara looked up at me and smiled. Did she know I had a crush on her...yes a freaking crush. Nice time to realize what these feelings were. I need to defend myself quickly before she makes fun of me. "A Super and a Luther? Impossible." I laughed. Kara's face fell and it took me by surprise.

"Why impossible?" She asked.

"Because how can a human date an alien. How would that even work?" I said and immediately regretted it. Why did I say that! Kara's face twitched. Her gaze fell to her lap. "Ka...Zor-El wait. I didn't mean it like that." I tried to save the situation. Kara looked up at me with a broken smile and watery eyes.

"I think I hear trouble. I should go. Here." Kara said as she placed money on the table and began to walk off. She was fast because I had to run after her to catch her outside of the restaurant.

"Zor-El stop!" I pleaded. She stopped instantly and stood for a moment. "I just-" I was cut off by Kara's sudden movements. She whipped her head in my direction.

"Your right.  How could someone like me ever be able to love someone as precious and human as you." She somewhat yelled.  It was as if time froze and a chill crept up my spine. Has she always felt like she can't love or be loved by someone that's human? Wait, did this mean she has feelings for me? I went to respond and tell her that it wasn't true and that love can be in her future but I never got too.

"I don't know who's worse, a Luther or a cockroach!" I turned to the violent voice and saw what seemed to be a cook from the restaurant next door. As he yelled he threw what I could only assume was boiling water as there was steam coming from it. Time moved slow. Kara screamed and rushed to shield me. Not a drop got on me. I examined Kara. Her beautiful hair was now dark and wet. Her makeup was smeared and her eyes looked sad. We held eye contact for what seemed like hours. I looked to her hands that were clutching the sidewalk as if it was paper. Realization dawned on me. Her strength, it's nothing to her, but to me, it can break bones. That was her main worry. Her eyes followed my gaze. At that moment I knew that's what she was afraid of, being truly herself. She quickly looked me over for injures then got up and moved away from me. I couldn't find the words. The man behind us kept shouting at Kara. Her face switched from sadness to anger. She could never be like us...she can never let go or even do something as human as show anger. I could see it in her eyes. When she looked in the mirror she saw a monster. Maybe that's why being Kara Danvers was so precious to her.

Before I knew it I was on my balcony. She took me away from the dangerous environment we were in and then left me on my balcony without a word.
