The smell of mold danced around my head. It was like everything had turned into a haze. One minute, I'm hearing it from Ms. Grant, round housing a few baddies, then I'm home finally in relaxing mode when...when I couldn't move.

I was paralyzed, and it made me feel like a cornered animal. Alex was just telling me about how Maggie also got ripped a new one today at work when suddenly, I couldn't move a muscle. All I could possibly do was move my mouth. It was strange. It was like I felt it coming. My body moved to the ground, then nothing. Not only couldn't I move, but I felt the pain caused by only Kryptonite. I yelled for Alex to leave because I knew something was coming for me, and I wouldn't be able to protect her. I can't remember what happened after that, however.

"Nice to see that you are finally awake." An uncaring voice booted me from my thoughts. I turned my attention to whoever was just talking to me. To my surprise, it was a young man. The way he appeared and spoke, it made my blood run cold.

"Where am I?" I was a bit confused. I have never seen anything like him. He was skinny, stood kind of like a monkey, and looked to have machinery fused into himself. He stepped forward, causing me to move back.

"You're in an underground facility. We've been working for a couple of months now. We are from Earth 56, and our technology is far more advanced than it is here. We needed to find an earth where you existed, and Logan didn't. He's not ready yet, and we need a living Kara Danvers. You are that Kara Danvers." I'm that Kara Danvers? Something seemed off. I go to stand but quickly find out that was a horrible idea. I was trapped in a kryptonite cage. No wonder everything is still hazy to me. "As you can see, you're in a kryptonite cage." He took a pause and looked into the space behind me. "Mother, I was giving her some general information. Is brother ready?" Mother? Brother? Oh my god, I'm stuck in some cult.

"How can he be when you're talking to Kara, and he needs her to be ready? I believe you even just stated that he wasn't ready yet." The creature in front of me showed no emotion; just looked from her to me. "Fine. To answer your question, he's not ready. Go check on your sister." He walked in another direction while footsteps came forward towards me.

A woman I hadn't seen before was now in front of me. She had a white lab coat that was stained with, and I assumed blood. "Kara Danvers. As you know now, we are from Earth 56. On our earth, you were shot with red kryptonite. It was a large amount, too much for you to ever break free from in time to keep everyone safe. Soon after, you were killed by Logan. Sometime before that, I started taking unwanted children and creating off them, making them strong enough to protect our home. I have only had two successes so far. Logan will be the third. I abducted him when he was younger but only had him long enough to infuse some of your blood into him. Once his parents died and he had killed you, that was when I finally knew I could have him for myself. He was off guard and in shock about what he had done. He made it easy for me to take him. Now, he sits in another lab waiting for more of your blood." That was just too much to process. My energy was low, and this woman was talking nonsense.

"Listen, I don't know who this Logan guy is, but he doesn't need anything from me. There are people coming for me; you just wait." My words went in one ear and out the other. All she did was smirk.

"Why wait when we can drain you now?" It was like everything flushed from my body. "Don't look so scared, Supergirl. We aren't going to kill you; we still need you. The world needs to see how strong Logan will be." With that, she left. I'm alone, in a cage, great.
