Chapter 15 (Kara's POV)

    Lunch was done and surprisingly it wasn't awkward. A few people stared because of how Kara looked. She had changed out of her dirty clothes but her hair was still a bit of a mess. Alex was joking with Scott, Maggie and Katie were deep in conversation, and Logan and Lena were also deep in conversation. Allen jumped from conversation to conversation, as for myself, I just sat back and watched. It was strange, that lunch felt so normal. These kids were bringing a certain life back to this earth.

    We were walking back to the D.E.O when Alex and I got a call on our cell phones. I let mine ring since Lena was with us and Alex was with us as well. If it was urgent she'd tell me.

    "Slow down, what is it?" Alex halfway shouted into the phone. All attention was on her. "Yeah. We are close by why, Winn!" Alex was now yelling. She then started to move, not informing us of what was going on. We approached a video store nearby and there was a masked figure on the screen. The figure had four people behind them, one being the mechanical monkey, and three hostages. My heart sank for the family of three. Logan was the first to rush to the screens that were displayed.

    "National City! There will be a new ruler, Scorch. We will rid all the metahumans and aliens from this earth and every earth! Today is a showcase for our strongest son! Come Young Power, and show everyone that you are the best protector." It was that woman that talked to me while I was in that cage, I could recognize her voice. Why does she want Logan so badly? The screen went blank. Katie was the first to speak. She grabbed Logan's shoulders and pulled him in front of her.

    "Logan, you will not do what that psycho says. Do you understand me?" Logan gave her a hurt smile then shoved her off. He gave Scott a look and as if he had actually said something Scott responded. He tossed Logan a ring and when Logan caught it, he proceeded to squeeze it. Soon Logan was in uniform. He had on a dark, long-sleeved shirt that had the crest of El on his chest and one on his right shoulder. His legs were covered in dark grey tight pants.

    "Logan, I swear to Rao, please don't do this. Supergirl is here, we are here! Let us help you for once in your goddamn life! Why are they even targeting you? This isn't right." Katie yelled in frustration. Like a flash, Allen and Scott were in uniform as well. Alex hung up the phone and walked over to Logan.

    "Protect us kid. You do good and maybe we could get ice cream later?" Alex said with confidence. She patted Logan's shoulder and then darted towards the D.E.O. Maggie ran off as well, yelling that she had to be at the station. Katie was the last to put her suit on.

    "We are doing this together Logan," Katie said in a firm tone. She turned to Lena and myself. "Mama, watch out for mom." Of course, I'd protect Lena! I just needed to be Supergirl in order to do that and I couldn't get away in order to do so.

    "No, Katie, you need to stay with Lena. Kara should go back to work to report what is happening. Isn't that right Kara?" Scott said. I knew what he meant and I couldn't thank him enough for it. I nodded my head, gave Lena a tight hug, and then ran off. The surroundings behind the masked person looked similar to L-Corp. I know the kids will figure it out as well. I'll be the first to get there but I can't be seen because they just want Logan.
