And I Didn't Notice

Chapter 8 (Lena's POV)

    Luthor Zor-El Danvers, Katie Luthor Zor-El Danvers! This can't be happening. I don't have a kid! I looked into Kara's eyes, searching for an answer. First Kara gets kidnapped, I black out, then wake up in the D.E.O., then a strange boy goes into the screen and shows us weird pictures, then Kara falls through a ceiling with another strange boy and now we are in a room with way too many people for its size. My head was beginning to pound.

    J'onn out of frustration walks over to the girls. He takes out his walkie and goes to speak when the tan girl, Allen, interrupts him.

    "Jay Jay, no need to call for security!" She yells with confidence, then turns to the girl next to her. "I am too fast to be caught anyway." I look back to Kara and her face seemed concentrated and confused. I am not surprised. That Logan boy has the last name of her and her sister and this Katie girl has their last name as well. I see her shift in her seat. Although she seemed uncomfortable by the commotion and her hair was a mess, she did look beautiful.

    "Uh, Allen," Kara takes a moment to think. "A-are you related to Barry Allen?" Katie goes to speak but Allen waves her hand in front of her face, causing Katie to smack it away. Allen glances at her with irritation but then quickly returns her attention back to Kara. A toothy smile appears on her face.

     "Yep! He is my dad and Iris is my mom. I am named after my dad's mom, Nora Allen." Kara's eyebrows frown and she glances towards me. God, I could stare into those eyes all day.

     "Um, Logan," she takes another pause and looks away from me and to Logan, who is still in front of the room. "Are you, uh, related to Alex and me?" I could hear Agent Danvers shift in her seat. I looked around the room. Winn was eyeing Katie Luthor Danvers, Mon-El was eyeing Logan with a devilish snarl. Agent Danvers and her girlfriend were whispering amongst themselves and J'onn was staring at Logan along with Kara. I then turned my attention to Allen and Katie Luthor Danvers. They seemed taken back, hurt even. Something was up, I could feel it. I turned back to the front of the room and saw Scott staring at Logan then at the two girls. Logan fiddled with his fingers and exhaled.

    "I," he pauses then looks to Scott. "I uh," from Scott he looks to the two girls, then Agent Danvers and her girlfriend. He squeezes his eyes shut then opens them. "I-I" Scott places a hand on his shoulder, attempting to calm his friend down. Logan looks at Scott and then at Kara. He takes a deep breath. "I am." I look to Kara who is getting up from her seat. She begins to walk over to Logan, he stiffens.

    "Who are your parents?" She asks with a firm voice. As if not knowing what to say, he glances at me. Why me?

    "A-Alex and Mag-gie." Agent Danvers shoots up from her seat.

     "I never had a child!" She walks over to Logan, standing next to Kara. "I don't know nor love you. And I know I would love my child." Logan clenches his jaw and backs up a bit.

     "You are my mother! Maggie is my mother!" He shouts. "You loved me and so did Maggie!" Alex went to grab him but Kara grabbed her wrist. Logan covers his face, then runs his hands through his hair. "You are my mom," he whispers but loud enough for us to hear. He then looks directly at Agent Danvers and Kara, then me and Maggie. "You are the woman who gave birth to me. Kara and Lena are my aunts and Maggie is my other mother!" He shouts and then slams his hands down on the desk causing me to jump.

    "That is enough! Everyone calm down." J'onn shouts. "Everyone please exit; everyone except Kara, Agent Danvers and our guests." I couldn't leave without knowing who Katie Luthor Danvers was. I was a bit surprised Kara didn't question her as well. That girl does have her last name too. As everyone began to get up, I got Katie Luthor Danvers's attention.

    "Wait!" I shouted. This wasn't like me but I had to know. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. "Katie, who are you related to?" As calm as I sounded, I was screaming on the inside. Katie was walking closer to Logan and Scott but stopped in her tracks, she answered me.

    "We come from another earth and on that earth, you are my mother, along with Kara. So to answer your question, I am related to you. You gave birth to me." I have a child on...another earth? Along with, Kara? I look down to my feet then back to Kara. Her face was just as shocked as mine. We have a child.
