"What do you mean an alternate world?" Winn asked Scott. We had been in the conference room for less than two minutes, and it's already getting heated in here. I am sitting between Alex and Lena, and I could feel Alex's frustration, but my attention was more on Lena. I couldn't grasp why she was here at the D.E.O. It honestly didn't matter at this point, though. I am just glad she's here and next to me. She smells like Japanese Blossom. It's strange; it's like I am seeing her in a new light now. Like, she's so close that her knee is touching mine, and it's actually making me nervous.
"Kara!" I was so engrossed in my own thoughts that I didn't hear Mon-El talking to me. I turned my attention, unfortunately toward him.
"What?" I asked blandly.
"You met Logan first; you were in his home. Care to share your info?" Wherever I was, it clearly wasn't Logan's home. I turned in my chair to look at Logan, who was sitting on the floor behind me. He didn't look up; he just stared into space. Scott moved from the front of the room to Logan.
"Buddy, I need your head up front." Scott somewhat whispered. Logan didn't budge. A warm hand collapsed on my shoulder and pushed off. It was Alex; she was out of her chair and in front of Logan. She grabbed him by the shoulders and forced him to his feet.
"Alright, you are going to stand and speak! Because of you, some whacked out monkey stole my sister!" Alex shouted in his face. He never made eye contact; he simply just looked off to the side. I could tell for whatever reason Alex was furious. She grabbed his chin and forced him to look in her direction. "You little punk, listen! You will look at me and tell me who the hell you are and what is going on." Still, nothing. "Speak!" She screamed. Her voice sent shivers down my spine. She was angry and I couldn't place why. Yes, I was kidnapped, but that has happened before. So, what was the issue?
Maggie, who was also sitting next to Alex, got out of her seat and stood next to Alex. She grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back. "Enough Danvers, stop," Maggie said with worry. Alex gave Logan one more shove before turning to go back in her seat. Maggie watched as her girlfriend took a seat and then looked back at Logan. "Dude, a lot of people are afraid of public speaking, so don't be embarrassed. We are all here just trying to figure things out, so please just try and talk?" Logan slowly dragged his eyes to Maggie. He seemed, horrified, or as if he was about to cry. After glancing at Maggie, he looked out to all of us sitting in the conference room. I was in front of him, Lena, to my right and Alex to my left. Next to Alex was Maggie, then Winn and Mon-El. In front of the room was J'onn and Logan's friend. "You got this." Maggie patted his back and sat back down next to Alex. Scott, still standing next to him, waved him on.
"I still need your head. They won't believe what we have to say." Scott said while turning his back to Logan and proceeding to walk to the front of the room. Something definitely wasn't right. Logan was talkative when we left the cult.
"Kara, are you okay?" Lena asked. She leaned in and studied my face. I couldn't help but smile.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I asked while letting out a small giggle. Lena's eyebrows frowned and laid a hand on my forearm.
"Kara, you were kidnapped and just fell through a ceiling not too long ago." I was about to say I am the girl of steel, but then I quickly remembered she doesn't know I am Supergirl. My body temperature began to rise. What do I say? "Kara?"
"Oh! Well, speaking to Ms. Grant in her office sometimes makes me feel like I am in a torture chamber, and Logan had me the whole time. No injuries, no worries!" Lena didn't seem to buy it or understand what I said. I didn't even understand what I said... She leaned away, looking unimpressed.
