After lunch, we all decided to go for a walk in the park. We all wanted to spend our last day together under the beautiful sun. The kids were ahead of us all playing together as I walk with Alex and Maggie. Kara was walking slowly behind us. I could tell that what happened last night was still bothering her, as it should. I can deal with Kara later though, the kids are leaving later today and that's who I want to focus on. I look over at the kids and can't help but smile. Everything felt right with them around. Alex and Maggie had Logan and Kara and I had Katie. Allen and Scott are pieces of our puzzle as well. I'm not ready to let them go... with all the fighting I didn't have enough time with the kids.

Logan ran over to Kara knocking her off her feet. Alex let out a belly laugh so hard she had to hold her stomach to make sure it didn't fall. Maggie was amused as well. I watched as Kara and Logan rolled around on the grass. I couldn't hold back my smile. When Logan firsts came here he was miserable but now he's laughing, actually laughing. Kara herself looked as happy as can be. She had every right to be a mother. Kara fit the job description perfectly, so why do I get the feeling it wasn't this happy back on the kids' earth. What was so different? It doesn't matter much I suppose, because I live here, on this earth, and I want this. I will fight for this. Once the kids leave I'll have to make Kara see I was wrong, I'll have to make her realize it's okay to love me back. Love...

"Lena, what happened last night?" Alex asked. She was calming down from earlier. Her voice had taken me away from my thoughts. My heart dropped. This was the last thing I wanted to talk about with Kara's sister. We were having such a lovely moment, why does it have to be ruined so soon. I stay quiet, hoping she'll forget she asked me anything. "Lena. I know something happened." Alex pressed. I take in a deep breath, knowing I won't escape from this conversation.

"Someone thought we were on a date last night and I told her that it was...that it was impossible." I spit out. I focus my eyes on my feet, preparing myself for Alex's wrath.

"You said what!" Alex yells as she grabs ahold of my shoulders firmly. "Lena, how could you tell Kara that? Are you out of your-" Before Alex could finish her sentence Maggie cuts her off. She pulls Alex away from me and stands between us.

"Stop yelling. You'll bring attention and everyone is having a nice time, Alex," Maggie ordered. She turned her back to Alex and looked at me. She wasn't looking through me, she was looking at me. "You do know that Kara has had a thing for you for the longest time, right? Even if you didn't have feelings for her, which I don't think is the case, but if you didn't that is defiantly not the way to turn someone down. By saying 'impossible' it will make her think that there's something wrong with her, that her being an alien is wrong." Maggie takes a second to think. She turns her attention to Kara who was wrestling with Logan. Maggie nods her head in their direction, wanting Lena to follow her gaze. Lena looked over at Kara. Maggie's words repeating in her head, 'You do know that Kara has had a thing for you for the longest time, right?' So, Kara likes me or maybe had liked me. Before I could think any further Maggie speaks again. "You're telling me that someone as kind as her is wrong? Do you really think that Lena?" Maggie asked. I look at her and go to answer but she interrupts me. "You don't. I don't know why you said it was impossible but whatever your reasoning may be it will haunt Kara to the core. It will disturb her and make her question everything she does. She is an alien, she knows that, but by you saying that now she feels like one too."

"I didn't know she liked me, okay! I didn't know. I got embarrassed and-," I was cut off...

"Katie wait!" Kara shouted. The three of us give our attention back to Kara. Kara was now on her feet and Katie was walking away from her. She looks angry. Did Kara and Logan hurt her? I had this sinking feeling in my stomach. They're both very strong and Katie could easily be hurt, even if it was just played fighting. My body moves on its own. I'm walking straight over towards Kara. Alex and Maggie are following suit.
