Today has hands down been the oddest day and in a good way. Who knew a coffee run for myself could've turned into an entertaining circus in my office. Kara had just stormed out, and I was left with her friends. Ms. Danvers turned to me and let out a sigh. "Ms. Luthor, we'll be getting out of your hair now. Thank you for helping Kara out." She walked towards me and gave me her hand. A firm handshake took place, and she made her way to the door. The people Kara associates with are so peculiar. For god sakes, there's a shirtless stranger in my office scowling at Ms. Danvers in bitter silence. The tan-skinned woman walks over to me to pick up the two plastic bags.

"Ms. Grant is going to chew her out; she'll need these." The tanned woman informed me. I gave her a simple nod in understanding.

"Those are most likely a mess by now. Why don't I pick up some fresh ones and drop them off later today?" I offered, but I guess it wasn't expected or appreciated by some.

"No! I can get more." The 'man-child' abruptly shouted. The shirtless man moved forward to the other man.

"Excuse me, I got them. You guys were taking too long. Our break was almost up, and they were going by fast. Y'know, a mass sale of pot stickers." The air churned from a goofy aroma to a hostile, testosterone filled dance. The tan woman stole the show when she jilted and dropped the bags.

"Shit, my lunch break has been over!" She quickly jogged to Ms. Danvers, planting a kiss on her cheek, then left my office. These people were a mess. They somewhat acted like adult children.

"That'd be great if you could. I'm sure Kara would love fresh pot stickers..." Ms. Danvers trailed off and looked toward the shirtless man. "Instead of an impulse buy." The man rolled his eyes and exited my office, followed by the other guy. Before leaving my room, however, he gave me a darkening glare. "Thank you again, Ms. Luthor. I'm so sorry about them. Kara has been having a difficult time lately, and we all just wanted to cheer her up. I must head back to work as well. Have a good day." Moments passed, and I was alone in my office with pot stickers.

The day dragged on, and it's strange, but I missed Kara and her madness. She brightened my day. Her and her friends...they're just something else. Time ticked, and finally, it was an appropriate time to leave work and see Kara. Is it strange that I was a bit nervous yet excited? No, of course not. I mean, she's my friend, and she is having a hard time.

One minute, I'm buying pot stickers, the few that were left, then the next thing I know I'm in front of Kara's apartment door. I went to knock on the door, but before I could, rustling filled my ears. Does she have guests over?

"Get out!" Kara shouted. My body numbed. Oh my god, she's in trouble. Instant sweat seeped through my pores.

"Kara, calm down!" Another voice shouted. The voice sounded like it belonged to Ms. Danvers. There was another crash, like glass breaking.

"Alex, I can't! Get o-out!" Kara again shouted. Rushing footsteps approached the door I was standing at. What do I do? The door swung open, and all I could do was stand still.

"Ms. Luthor?" Ms. Danvers halted in front of me. It was as if time froze. What was going on? What was wrong with Kara?

What came next wasn't even close to helping me answer questions; it just gave me more. An extraordinary bang filled the air. Ms. Danvers quickly got on the phone and charged back into the apartment. My body moved on its own, following her. The large window near her kitchen table was kicked in, and there was this, this thing on Kara. She wasn't fighting back, however. She was crouched over on the floor, covering her face.

Ms. Danvers screamed a few words into her phone and then charged over to Kara. I couldn't move. All I could do was stare. Why isn't Supergirl here to help? Kara is a very close friend of hers, no?

The monster on top of Kara swatted Ms. Danvers away and begun to drag Kara off. All Kara did was scream and yelp. It appeared as though she was paralyzed. This monster looked like a large man fused with a machine. There was a green light and these small looking guns coming from his back. Tearing me from my inner thoughts was this large, hard looking figure coming through the hole in the wall. It was that Martian.

He must've snapped me out of this haze I was in because my body began to move again. I had to do something, anything. Martian was on the monster's back, struggling to keep the monster from taking Kara. I ran into the kitchen and began to throw whatever objects I could find. It seemed as though nothing was working. Nothing in the kitchen would work, but I eventually found something that would. Ms. Danvers had a gun poking out from the back side of her pants. I slowly crawled over to the unconscious sister and snatched her gun. The gun appeared alien; it wasn't a normal gun.

Putting my curiosity aside, I aimed for the mechanical man and fired. The power behind the gun pushed me back. The shot met with its face. The look it gave me was bone chilling. What is that thing? The chills in my body even had chills.

Fire filled the apartment, and the Martian jumped off the monster. Was he scared of fire? The Martian grabbed Ms. Danvers and my paralyzed body. No words could come out of my mouth. My body couldn't move. All I could do was stare at Kara, being dragged off by that monster. Then...everything went black.
