Back to the never ending white as Corine was pulled back to a journey unknown.
Where was she going this time, she did not know. Only she knew she was definitely not going back to the present.
How long has it been? 1 hour, 1 day, a year. She did not know. Time was irrelevant in this case as she seemed to be time travelling, but when to, she knew only one thing.
It contains a big secret. Whether it was connected to her, she was not sure but that old man definitely thought it was something worth knowing.
Unfortunately she could not ask. The old man was not with her. Even if he was, Corine wondered whether she could even speak with the speed she was going.
Back she went until...
Thump!
Not feeling anything doesn't mean there is no sound when landing. She once again saw the ball of light that meant the old man was coming.
But instead it transformed into a young and the most handsome man she had ever seen. She couldn't help but look in awe and looked around to find the old man.
He was nowhere to be found. But that young man certainly has the same features as the old man. He could be the younger version of the old man.
She paused at that thought. Wait. Could he really be-
"Yes," the young man said, interrupting her thought, "I was that old man.".
Corine nodded. Definitely him. He could read her mind like that old man.
"When are we?" Corine asked.
"Thousands of years ago," he replied.
It made sense to Corine, checking her surroundings. There was a stony path each side with plenty of trees, definitely not in cities. The air was definitely fresher than any Corine have ever breathed.
"Follow me," the young man said.
Corine did and she was led to a cottage house, barely upright, all of the wood was rotten but the people left in there seem to not mind.
In fact, they were happy.
"Help me out, Lenard," a woman shouted.
"Yes, Mother," a small boy responded. He looked exactly like the young man. Except that boy was just 6.
"That's me," the young man said, pointing to the boy.
No kidding. "Guess you are Lenard," Corine said.
"Yes, but you could call me Len," he replied.
"OK," Corine said, now knowing they were in Len's memories. But...
Thousands of years ago.
That's when the memory took place and that was when Len was born.
And he was standing beside her.
Could he be a ghost? That was suggestible given to her weird situation.
"Now you know my name, on with the story," Len said.
The scene changed and now they both saw Len walking on a path, collecting any veggies he could find.
Then...
Hiss...
A snake was approaching Len. It rattled it's way to him, quiet as a mouse but Len saw it anyway and ran with adrenaline pumping in his veins making him as fast as lightning.
