This was about the worst things Dean had ever done. Moving from building to building was suicide but to those thieves, it was second nature. Corine was near to that blond boy.He just scowled. She deserves better but he was unsure how to do so.

He once had a plan so Corine could be with him again, but it was a complete disaster. That plan was what cause this mess and he didn't entirely blame Corine for hating him for that but he wished there was something he could do.

Now, he was among a bunch of thieves, aiding them as his parents forbid him to do. But anything to get into Corine's good graces, right?

Then a bullet whizzed by, millimeters from his head. Death was looming about and Dean traced it's source. Policemen were getting ready their riffles while onlookers were gawping at them who were running the building.

'What are we, animals?!' Dean thought as the policemen were aiming at their targets with their riffles, silent as the wind.

Wasting absolutely no time, he cried "Police alert!" to warn the others and broke to a run that lightning would envy. Everyone else looked down and saw the danger, then broke into a run or more of a formation, weapons ready.

Ape ran in front of Dean, saying "Follow me,". As if he got any other choice. Corine threw a 'shadow' ball at them, preparing the perfect distraction to escape. Bullets still whizzed by but not so close now with this perfect camouflage.

Ape jumped away from the building, landing perfectly on the ground below. The most impossible thing that you could ever do. Unless you have rocket boots, which the rest except Dean had. So, once again, with Hip's help, he managed to land safely to the ground.

It took them a while to tail off the police but they managed it and ended up in the dense woods that no one dared to go after the incident. It was more spookier than anyone imagined but Riddle was extremely calm about it.

They made sure their footsteps in the forest could not be seen until they were absolutely positive the police weren't following them. Sometimes, they heard a few howls that scared the light out of some but the sounds never approached them at all. Still, they never let their guard down for even one second.

Night fell and they made camp in an open area a short distance away from where they stopped and built up a nice tent and fire. With untrustworthy thieves all around, it was a bit tense, quiet and sullen. Until they discover that Buff got away with a crate of rum.

It was a drunken catastrophe. Each person bit more than they could chew and it ended in a hazardous mess with rum all around, laughing all around and singing a lot of songs and telling stories that Dean would like to erase from his mind forever.

Tired of this and without any rum in his system to be too drunk like those thieves so he could fit in, Dean went walking around the forest, taking absolutely no concern of wiping his footprints as he took a soothing nature walk.

Soon, he saw that there were footprints leading to an unknown distance. It bore no good. If whoever it was found our camp, they would all be doomed and Dean would lose any chance of redemption to Corine if they were caught.

Holding a knife which he took from the thieves inventory, as part of self defense in this crap world of thieves, who knows what would happen now and he was doing this all for Corine, so leading the footsteps of the unknown, he decided that he would just come up with an excuse for that person to leave this place.

If push cane to shove, Dean would have to, gulp, kill someone. That was a very foreign word in his dictionary but this was the mess he put himself in and it would all be over when he cleared Corine's name and free her from this madness. He shocked his head while wondering why Corine couldn't just accept his gesture at that party or this would never happen. Let alone just coming to him in the first place.
