They were now once again sprawled in a dark alleyway but under very different circumstances.
They have lost sight of the police but they couldn't stay here forever. There were very few in their number after the fire.
The person who created it was still unknown. Dean just said that whoever caused it was a man, by shape with a baggy shirt and tight jeans but he left his face hidden by a hood.
The same details as a certain client they all met just recently.
But the question was why he was doing this? Was it because of her or something else. But right now was no time to ponder. Everyone was grieving for Luigi and many others, all lost in the fire. No bodies or even ashes to be seen.
All they know right now was that whatever caused that fire was unknown but extremely powerful. Whoever caused this would be a formidable foes.
"I'm so sorry," Corine said addressing to everyone, which is not much after that damn fire, ",this is all my fault!". She hung her head down.
"Never mind," Riddle said. "What's done is done and can never be undone,".
"Forgiveness is the first step to a new path, you never intended for this to happen so don't feel too bad!" Hip said, who was one of the few who made it out of the fire.
"Yes, right now, we need to forget about the past and move on to the future," said Ape, "We need to make every use of our resources,".
He was pointing at the other two who believed Corine and escaped. Buff and Stealth. They were one of the two formidable thieves who promised to stay by Ape's side and never left it like now.Everyone was extremely OK with this situation and were discussing tactics on what to do now.
Dean went to Corine and pat her shoulder, "Everything will be OK.This is my fault. I'll help you,". It was good that Dean wanted to help her in this damn mess but as he was the one who actually caused this mess in the first place, Corine just scowled.
Everyone stood up, their first move decided. Ape addressed to Corine about their plan, "OK, Shadow. Our hideout was perished in the fire and with that you and Lulu are homeless, so as us needing a spot to hide once in a while. So our first priority is finding a new hideout,".
'That won't be so hard,' thought Corine. There were plenty of abandoned spots for them to use and even some were so swanky that Corine wondered why the old owners abandoned it.
"The second part is that we need to clear Shadow's name so she could do heists freely and also free ourselves from the risks of being caught with Shadow," Ape continued.
"I can disguise myself!" Corine said.
"Disguises aren't always reliable," Ape retorted.
With that, Corine shot a look at Dean.
"Oh, I forgot," Ape said, shooting a look at Dean, ",we need to get rid of this vermin. He knows too much,".
As Ape approached Dean, he said "Wait! Wait! I can be useful!".
"In what way?" Corine retorted. She wanted to see Dean suffer for a while.
"I'm a good technician. You need one, right? Seeing all of you don't look the part," Dean said.
The rest were offended but didn't move a muscle. Ape just said "Fine, that's one thing less to do. But if you make things any harder for us, you'll regret it, boy!".
Corine was not particularly pleased about this but remained silent.
"Alright, guys!" said Ape. "Any particular places you know as a hideout,".
